I just realized I only marked Bea down for Ikari II...didn't realize right away that she'd beat III as well As for what to play while you wait for Gauntlet, what about Zombie Nation? It's fun AND tough, so it'll be worthwhile to play through AND rewarding to beat
My kid is sick right now so during his crazy long naps I've put a bit of time into Bart vs. Space Mutants. Made it to near the end of the Museum and wasted a few lives on a tricky timed jump. Should have this crossed off before to long.
I beat 5 games today already checked off the list just because they are fun games. I only mention this as inspiration for others so that may continue the good fight.
Count, you inspired the list in the first time. It was your idea, I just ran with it. Were they games you've ran through before or new (to you) games? The reason I went with it was more to get people playing games they normally wouldn't think twice about playing, so as far as that goes, even if no more games get crossed off, if everyone found one game they didn't know about and enjoyed playing through, then it's served it's purpose. That said, I'd love to see it finished off
You can cross off Bart vs. Space Mutants. My family slept in this morning so I had some spare time. The last level was really cool and more than made up for the lameness that was the second half of the Museum (multiple stupid jumping areas and a ridiculously easy boss). Sucks that there was no last boss though. I was craving a Space Mutant battle and every other level had a boss.
Played Big Birds hide and speak for hours...the game just keeps going and you have to reset to change games...the only one that has some sort of goal is the word games...I deam this one UNBEATABLE!!!

BIG BIRD'S HIDE & SPEAK (Hi-Tech Expressions) -This game in the Sesame Street series of NES games is comprised of 6 mini games, all of which involve something having to do with learning (it is a kid's game after all). All you need to know about this game is that there is no ending to speak of. All 6 of the games have no ending and will keep re- peating every time you finish them. I hope you weren't really expecting an ending to a Sesame Street game anyway. Also, pressing the start button during play brings you back to the game selection screen.
So they repeat, meaning a loop. Just play all 6 games, and when they repeat, press start or reset to change games. Once you beat all 6, I'll count it as beaten. I assume you did that, but I won't mark it until I get confirmation.

Yeah, I played each mini game for at least an hour...of course anybody who has played the game knows that each level takes forever to complete once. Just because of the way you select windows with the stupid bird.
On a seperate note, we were playing shooters yesterday and played Barker Bills Trick Shooting. It also only has 4 levels and you play for high score. Played for an hour or so and even cheated (Gun to screen). Don't think you can beat that game either...just get the high score in each of the 4 levels, which I did...Missa aint got nothing on me...
-There are 4 different games on this cart, Balloon Saloon, Flying Saucers,
Window Pains and Fun Follies. Each game goes up to Round 99. When you
finish Round 99 you go on to the next Round, but the counter stays at Round
99. Since it will repeat forever, consider finishing Round 99 on EACH game
as finishing the game. Your score goes up to 999,900 and stays at that score
even if you score more points. There is no ending to this game.
In this case, I'm gonna veto AdamL's ruling. Play each game and get the high score. Sounds like you did that, so I'll mark you up for that and Big Bird.

4/5 gamesI beat were new to me so it was pretty sweet seeing the endings. I reckon I'll try Super Cars next. It has Nissan 300ZXs on the label and judging things by their cover works 100% of the time.
Was scanning my Beaten in 2010 post over at rfgen and I beat Adventures of Lolo 3 in January of this year so you can cross that one off too.
I've "beaten" Sky Shark in the past too, so I'll give that one another go and see If I cant cross it off the list for this year.
Also started Circus Caper yesterday, should be able to knock that one off soon. Very unusual and frusterating game. Teriyaki Battle boss fight was pretty funny though.
Yeah, I fired up Castle of Dragon myself, got to Darklarza and forgot to hit him with the sword. Kept using the flail which does NO damage to him, and didn't realize it until I was half dead - too far gone to beat him. Now I'm having a bitch of a time getting back, one of the bosses is really starting to piss me off. Should have it in an hour or two. Anyway, I'll knock off Lolo 3 for ya there
It's up to you if you want to post pics. It's pretty much being done on the honor system. Just do it legit (no save states, Game Genie, etc). Can't prove it if you lie, but you're really only cheating yourself.
Oh, and I just knocked off Castle of Dragon. Took a break, rested my thumbs, went back, and had a couple close calls before finally convincing the game to register enough hits to kill Darklarza. One more for both my personal list and this project
Well the quests are supposedly almost the same, but I wouldn't mind doing it twice.
Also interesting note: The gamefaq maps for air fortress seem to be misguiding. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the gif maps by StarFighter76 seem to take the longest route possible to escape, and in some cases the escape route marked on the map is impossible due to time/difficulty restraints. They should really get that fixed!
It's been several years since I played through Air Fortress, but I'm pretty sure the two quests are significantly different.

I would still figure they're different like the base levels of GI Joe, where you have to take a different route to get to the end, rather than the second quest of say Zelda. Still, it's definitely over after the first, as opposed to games like Ghosts & Goblins or Arkista's Ring, where the real ending only pops after all the quests are beaten. Thus I'd be inclined to give the point for beating the game, and just bonus points for beating the quests, rather than one point for all the quests.
Finished off Circus Caper. Really frusterating maze level at the end (took a lot longer than it should have because you have to finish the level by entering a door, but in every single other level you just have to reach the end), full of enemies who make you glitch through the floor. Not a great game.

I just checked on youtube and the two different endings actually seem extremely similiar to the way Ghosts n Goblins works.
After the first one it says that the Air Fortress has recovered it's function and is attacking the planet and that you have to go back and destroy it completely. Then you go after the new fortresses. After the second quest it says that you have wiped out all Air Fortresses, the planet has been saved and the credits roll.
I hope I don't come off like a jerk about it, but I think consistancy is important in this project. This is no different than beating the first quest of Ghosts n Goblins and having it say the room is an illusion and sending you back to the beginning to play through again with slightly higher difficulty. I'm actually inclined to think that beating both quests of Air Fortress is even more important if the paths change.
If you need both quests for Ghosts 'n Goblins, then you definitely need both for Air Fortress.
Maydogg, you're right. I assumed they would be like GI Joe, where there was a bonus screen after each completion but otherwise identical. Since they're completely different, then yes, both are required. Thanks for pointing that out

No problem, buddy. It's a team effort.
Indeed. I can't know every detail about every game now can I

I'll run through my games to see what I have here that's still unbeaten and pick one or two to beat this weekend.

That took nearly all my Saturday to do.
Now to run through the list to see what else I have that isn't marked.
Also, yay for more people beating games! ^_^
And I'm single, it's winter, so I have nothing better to do with my nights.
It's easier to focus on NES games this way.
I'm done for today. Tomorrow I'll try CAPCOM'S Gold Medal Challenge 92.

Creepy too. "Welcome to the Circus little girl".
