No, I think it's someone who's bitter with Dain and is wants to prove a point. The sheer magnitude of this site is already amazing as it is, having to worry about every last exploitable hole in the code is just a huge pain in the ass.
Code is hardly ever "perfect", but unfortunately you sometimes don't realize holes until they are exploited. (Which is why most programs always go through numerous patches)
ETA: and we should all appreciate the comedy of the avatar thing in terms of the significance of the responsible party switching from White Hat to Black Hat
It looks like we were compromised at the server level. Last night we were taken offline for about an hour and today I noticed the administrator password no longer worked. Thankfully I created Zzap an admin account a while ago that got me back in. I'm on the phone with my provider right now trying to get this resolved.
