Need help with removing sticker residue!

Well, as the title says, I need help with getting rid of some sticker residue. It's not on a game though, it's on some of my strategy guides. I always use rubbing alcohol to get it off of game carts, but I know if you use it on the guide it will remove the color and damage it. I've tried water, but that didn't help whatsoever. Please, let me know if there's something I can use to remove it without damaging the guides!

  • Goo Gone, but use it sparingly and don't rub too hard or the ink will come off. Try putting a few drops on a paper towel, then gently run the magazine/strategy guide lightly. I do this for all my used games I get from Gamestop and it works fine on the case paper inside PS3 games without damaging it. Just remember to rub lightly and let the chemical do the dissolving.
  • You're a brave soul to ask for help on April Fools..... image

But seriously, lightly using Goo Gone on a q-tip should work. Pretend you're tickling your guide, that's how gentle you should rub with the q-tip.
  • I actually forgot it was April Fools image, but anyways thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to pick up some Goo Gone.
  • x2 on the Goo Gone. Though instead of a paper towel, I like to use an old toothbrush for more friction = less rubbing. But as stated, be sure to rub very carefully, otherwise you'll start eating the ink and color out of the guide.
  • If you are really careful, you could try an eraser. But be extra careful, just like the goo gone the eraser could rub out some of the ink.
