Goozex now trading retro games.

If anyone here is familiar with Goozex online trading, they just started retr trades this weekend. Just thought I'd let you guys know. Link below for those unfamiliar. I'm thinking this might be a way to fill some holes and get rid of some commons. Some of the more popular games will always sell better on ebay though.

  • I noticed this the other day. I have 20 something games on the way. I had a bunch of points there so I kinda went crazy.
  • Nice, Ben.

Yeah, I trade away Xbox games on there every now and then, so this will be nice to be able to get NES and SNES stuff in return. I'm really glad that they did this. A lot of people say that the worthless NES games would change the value of 100 points, but they just won't be traded, so that won't matter.
  • how does goozex work?
  • they have some ok stuff,, im thinkin about just throwing in $15 and getting that waynes world cart, idk

  • This actually sounds kind of interesting. Might have to use it to unload some shit image

EDIT: And LOL @ Stadium Events being worth all of 300 points XD  Most of the other games I looked at looked about right, but that was like WTF image
  • only thing I dont like is that a game you requested is going to be sent by whoever has it available. There is no indication of condition whatsoever. Whats their policy for denying something based on condition? Ive got a bunch of garbage that for some reason is worth alot of pts. and am curious.

    suire thing

    1. you go through their catalog and make a list of everything that you have to offer for trade.

    2. you go through their catalog and make a list of games that you are looking for

    3. if someone wants something you have up for offer, you get a message stating so, and you get instructions to ship your item to the person interested.  As compensation for doing this, you are awarded XXX amount of Goozex pts.

    4. you spend those said goozex pts you have earned by sending your items out, on games that are on your wanted list, provided someone has them for offer. All games on all wanted lists are done in queue form so if you want say Mario 3, and someone requested it b4 you, and there is only 1 total available, that other person either has to pass on it, or you have to wait

    5. in addiion to the goozex pts value required to get a game it als costs 1 trade credit, which are $1 each.

    6. get games, be happy. And thats the genral watered down explanation of goozex. Some of the pts value they give for games are good for the rarer stuff, but some of it is WAAAYYY off.

  • The games with values that are way off just never get traded. For example, nobody will get rid of their SE cart for only 300 points. On the other hand, games that are overvalued will never be traded for. Goozex does do a good job of tweaking the values, but this only happens in small increments and it takes a while to be corrected.

What I like is that you don't have to do game-for-game trades, but instead you do game-for-points and points-for-game. This allows you to sell off a bunch of crap and get something nice, or sell off something nice a get a bunch of inexpensive games.

With any new or popular games, though, you'll be waiting a llooooonngg time to buy.

Jeremy, I'd be careful about just buying points to get Wayne's World, though, because having the points certainly doens't mean you get the game. By the time somebody actually offers that game, the price might be up to 500-600 points (it's 400 now).

As for condition, there are no guarantees. You're pretty much only allowed to file a complaint if the game doesn't play, but otherwise you just have to accept it.

    Hope that helps.
