I'm a fan of 3 then 2. I like the 3rd game for the playability and 2 for nostalgic value.
I have actually avoided playing 5 and 6 on purpose. In a couple more years or so I will play 5 when it seems like its relevant and save 6 for a special occassion way down the road. That way I got a little old school to look forward to.
I've beaten 1 and 2 multiple times, and I still haven't beaten 3. So far I like the original the best because it was the first one that I played and I got quite good at it. I like the fact that it was so unforgiving, because it made me become better at the game. I really like 2 a lot as well, mostly for the music, but it's still a great game. I've only played the difficult setting on the game and I love it 3 somehow made me not like Mega Man. It's weird. I loved 1 and 2, but three is just so tough, and I didn't like the bosses, and I guess I just ran out of patience. I'm on the final boss, but I haven't gotten the motivation to complete the game. Maybe I just need to give it another chance.
