My first foray into Sealed NES games!! :)

Hey guys, finally picked up my first 2 sealed NES games, from Rarebucky on eBay, who I think frequents these forums as well.  Don't have them in hand, but can't wait!  I've been meaning to get into this for a while image

    But. . . . .

You've turned to the dark side!
  • I hate you Rarebucky. image
  • is that a record sale on a sealed Metroid?
  • For a non VGA graded one it may be. A VGA 85 went for $575 recently.
  • I thought they used to go for like 800 before Dov ??

Wow, really? I saw a bunch listed around $350, and this one looks to be in great shape. Also, I saw that that VGA copy went for $575, so I figured $280 was reasonable. image
  • Nice stuff man! If you got money to spend and want to buy nice products, rarebucky is certainly your guy to go to. Charges a premium for sure, but he's the type of guy that will go through dozens of copies to find the best one for his collection.
  • Thanks guys...I think image
  • Haha hey rarebucky, funny seeing you here! image haha, yeah, as these are my first two sealed games, 2 of my favorite games, and in great shape, I didn't mind paying what I did for them. image

Haha, nah, I'm keeping these ones sealed up. I already own these and about 125 other loose NES cartridges. See, I come from comic collecting and it seems to be pretty similar in ways. There's more debate over here about having games graded because, in my opinion, this is a relatively new hobby. In the comic world, there's much less debate. You can own a high grade copy of a comic and keep it "slabbed" and have a beater copy or reprint to read. That's why I am not against having games graded or keeping them sealed. There are plenty of options to play the game without having to break the seal on a nice sealed copy straight outtta the 80's!  My 2 cents!
