I saw it coming

WOW the prices on GC games at Gamestop just DROPPED dramatically. I'm talking about first party stuff here. Here are some prices

Super Mario Striker-$12.99

Mario Superstar Baseball - $9.99

Mario Tennis $14.99

All the Mario Parties are about $20 too. A few months ago all of these were about $30. I can't believe they dropped so dramatically. So if any of you are looking for these I'd just recommend Gamestop although internet prices dropped some too.

  • Steve and I have been told that Sony is also going to stopm producing PS2 games after the release of Madden 11
  • NO! My baby will finally die image
  • I was posting this to let you guys know that maybe GC games aren't the best investment right now but a great time for collectors!
  • The price drop happened a couple months ago, right after xmas. It was during their advertising of 1,000's of games or w/e under $20.

How else do you think I've been getting time splitters future perfect for $9.99 and vexx for $2.99? image
  • I still need to pick up a copy of Vexx. The few hours I played back when were a lot of fun.
  • Mario parties at $20 and under are a good deal.

How do I play them on my Wii -- do I need something special to insert a GC game or do I just put it in and the system orients it properly?
  • Just shove em in there dan. the system takes care of the rest.

This is true.  Went to GC today during lunch and picked up a sweet MSB CIB for $9.99.  MP games were around $20 I believe.
  • Sweet! Thanks for the heads up - I've been waiting for this. I need to snatch up some more mario titles...
  • I can't wait for the B2G! image

they system will position the disc by itself. you need gamecube controllers though, wii controllers don't work for gamecube games.
  • They were horribly overpriced before. Now they're just somewhat overpriced.
  • Not bad, I've actually been checking out their Gamecube games recently. Nothing really amazing, but I did find Bust-a-Move 3000 for only $9.99. What really turns me off from Gamestop are those damn stickers, they're such a bitch to remove when you have 5 different stickers on top of one another!
