Price check on CRAIGSLIST Lot

Hey everyone, I wanted to see if you guys could give me feedback on a craigslist lot. I already kinda agreed but I can get out of it if I really needed to. It will be $150 FIRM. Like an idiot I got nervous when I saw Earthbound and threw out a price I probably could have got for less. image

It is a Super Nintendo with 2 controllers and 1 Super Advantage controller. There's about 12 games and the ones I can't remember now are not worth shit. No boxes or manuals of any kind.

These are the games I do remember

Earthbound

Mario RPG

Donkey Kong Country  3 (2 Copies)

Earthworm Jim

Mario Allstars

The rest are Maddens, and various other crap. Do you think it's worth it from a re-selling perpective or no? Thanks

  • I personally wouldn't pay $150 for what you mentioned to resell but you could probably get your money back plus a little extra.
  • I think you could make a bit of money off of that. I'm not an expert by any means but you could make over half of your money back for Earthbound alone.
  • I wish I told her less. I panicked when I saw Earthbound and Mario RPG. Then later when I thought about it I was like shit. I have a crappy copy of Earthbound so I can at least upgrade and hopefully make a little money
  • i am intrested in getting a mario rpg and dkc 3 and an earth worm jim

Sounds good. I'll PM you if I do decide to pick it up. I most likely will.
  • If you sold Earthbound for 60, Mario RPG for 20, DKC 3 EJ and allstars all for 10, sports games at 1 and console for 20 you are sitting at 150 right there. Nothing would sit very long at those prices, so in the words of pats1717 do you want a fast nickel or slow dime.
  • You probably should have tossed $100 at her instead, but you're still doing okay from a reselling perspective (you'll be able to clear $50+ profit).
  • I would go for $100 too. There is no point of buying something to resell it if you aren't going to make some money off it. Look at it like this, risk $150 to make $20??

EDIT - your time is worth money too - driving there and driving to the post office to send the stuff away.

  • Any idea of condition? You might be able to talk them down on condition. Ive used it before as a barging chip to drive the price down because i ask about condition and they something and its not in the condition they say when we meet.

Justin has a point too not worth it spending 150 to make 20. Try to see if they'll sell you just the games for half.
  • Everything looks to be in really good condition. She sent me pictures but I can't find them right now. She said $200 and I quickly said I'll do $150 cause I was worrying about the other re-selling hawks in the area swooping in. If I tried to talk her down now I don't think she would do it unless I made up a huge bullshit lie. I might just be honest with her and say look I know I said 150 but I'm trying to trade and sell some of this stuff and it's probably not worth it for me for $150.
  • I might be interested in the Super Advantage controller if you wanted to make a couple bucks on that.
  • Ask if she has newer consoles she needs games for, I do that sometimes, It's amazing how many craigslisters will drop $20-$30 off the price of a lot of old games for a year old madden or tiger woods that can be had for $5 or less!! image
