Not sure how I did on some old stuff

I was debating posting this in the finds section, but I guess I really don't know enough about this stuff to know if it was a great find. I know there are a lot of pre-NES experts here, so I'll post it here. I went to pick up a somewhat vague Craigslist ad for an "Intellivision with 43 games" for $40 and I ended up taking away:

1. An Intellivision II with 43 boxed games, a couple of boxed controllers, some other accessories, and some really neat paper stuff
2. A Magnavox Odyssey 2 with a "voice module" and 14 boxed games, including one really interesting hybrid board game  that caught my eye (detailed pic of this game below)
3. A Colecovision with "Expansion Module #1" and a handful of crappy games (the Colecovision stuff was pretty dirty)

Total price paid for everything above: $100

I also picked up a neat and minty CIB Playstation 1 controller in a large lot of games and systems, I am wondering what this might be worth? The controller is literally the same size as an original PS1 system, and it looks totally unused. The person I bought this from had a ridiculous Resident Evil collection - I managed to pick up a mint CIB Resident Evil Gaiden for Game Boy Color for $40.

  • I don't really know much about that stuff either, but I'd say you did pretty well.
  • The intellivision stuff for $40. isn't that bad since it works out for a little less than $1.00 per game with everything else basically for free. The two boxed controllers are pretty hard to find. The Colecovision stuff i'd pay between $10-15 tops because of the types of games and condition, "Heist" is the rarer game of the bunch. The Odyssey stuff might not be that bad for the remainder of the money. I don't really know much about odyssey so i'm not up to date on those prices or rarity.
  • I would say you did pretty good but I am not sure on the exact prices on those items right now
  • I believe the quest for the rings game is worth a decent amount if its complete.

  • If you bought this stuff to keep you did ok. If you bought this stuff to sell not so good.

The intv controllers are nice and he man isnt a bad boxed game the rest are all very common.

Odyssey 2 stuff I cant ever seam to give away but the voice module is hard to find and sught after.

The colecovision system if it works would pull you 50 or so alone as there very sought after.

So ok with what I just typed I guess you could still probably double your money over time if you sold the stuff.
  • Thanks for the replies, guys - I did some research piece by piece on everything in this lot and if I sell every game individually I am expecting to get around $300, which honestly is not all that great considering the time and effort it will take to get rid of all of this stuff.
