Got a sealed SMB1 with a "U.S. Coast Guard" price sticker... ?

What do you guys think is the story behind that?

  • It means that a member of the US Coast Guard purchased it at a "Coast Guard Exchange" retail store operated by the US Coast guard.

Here is a link to their location where it may have came from years ago:

  • Hmm, cool!
  • Yeah...our USAF exchange has stupid ass stickers on the product...still the same type. Only downside is they are SUPER slow on price drops...
  • so is the CGE like a thrift store? I just looked online and there is one near me. Can civilians go in and purchase stuff?
  • My dad used to bring me to the "PX" back when he would bring me on the Army base. Same deal, I guess. I remember all the game/toy stuff was always a couple years old image
  • that's awesome, leave that sticker on for sure

We still go.....I found 2 copies of Digital Devil Saga 2 for PS2 at 75% off. I need to go back. Its been a few months.
  • And it's also pretty cool.. the game got marked down to 10.90, then 4.99, then .99 !! The .99 sticker is also on the front. It actually had another sticker for $17.50 which I removed, which I'm regretting removing. (see my "sticker" thread near the top). But it's pretty cool that it got marked down to .99.

Nah, it is like a general wal-mart or target. Got a little bit of everything. Once again...the down side....they are really slow getting product. Never have any new games the day it was release...took them 2 months to get a Wii in stock after it released. On the bright side...they keep product until it sells...just keep putting it on sale.
I have seen at least 3 dial up online adapters for the games cube in my clearance isle for the past 5 years...I think they are as cheap as $5.00 now.
Only other benefit is no state tax. Take that WA and your 9.8%!!!!
  • You got a sealed super mario bros for .99 cents or was that just the sticker!!! I'll give you $2.00 for it image wow full pics, full pics!
