Visiting Paris --- any suggestions on where to shop for some old PAL games?

Have to be in paris this week. I was wondering if the NA members from Europe have any good places to check on for games while in Paris.  Open to any and all suggestions.  Let me know.

Thanks everyone.

  • When I went on my trip to several places in Europe I kept an eye out for game stores etc. I didn't find anything at all. I did find a book store in Switzerland that sold new games...for about twice as what you can get them in the states (cheapest games were for the Wii at 99.99 Swiss Franks). I couldn't find much in Paris. I don't think you'll find much in the big cities--too much of a tourist area.
  • thanks dude. good to know.
  • Well, when I went to Paris, I found some gameshops. They were quite nice but they are at the corners of the Paris' streets. When I went to the Notredame there are a few locatable but you really have to search. I found them with luck when I was just walking down the streets..
  • Paris got so much more to offer than games. Take a week off from collecting.
  • You are probably right...but i just can't help myself sometime.s.

    Just saying...

Paris is a beauty. I highly doubt you could find a decent retro gaming store without going through a huge amount of hassle. Might as well just forget about it and concentrate on the historical sites as well as the mademoiselles. imageimageimage
  • This summer, I stumbled across a random game store in a tourist-oriented strip mall just outside the entrance to Versailles. They had a Sharp Twin Famicom (which kind of blew my mind) and lots of overpriced NTSC games.

Back in the days, France was THE country to search for Japanese media. Anime for example were aired much earlier and were better recieved by the French people rather than in other countries.

Oh, and I bought my Sharp Twin Famicom there. :3
