  • u give it to me.
  • don't be a smartass, I need a real answer.
  • You give it to ME! image

Seriously though, you might want to take a picture so we know what sort of sticker we're dealing with. A price tag can be peeled off relatively easily...one of those security stickers from a rental outlet on the other hand would require a different methodology to remove.
  • hmm, don't you have one wiz? you gotta. You strike me as someone who's been collecting for a long time.
  • carefully. lightly dab rubbing alcohol if needed. if it looks like it will go bad, give up.

Not yet.  Unlicenced games I find all over the place, so I hold out for minty copies.  There's an Ultimate League Soccer sitting in one of my usual haunts that is only $5, but I pass every time because half the label is torn off.  It makes me sad just thinking about it image  But yeah, since I posted my want list I had two or three offered, and they're either too much or too shitty, or both.  Keep in mind I'm 36 games shy of a full cart set, and am still missing Donkey Kong, and just recently knocked off DK Classics, Castlevania, Karate Kid...you get the idea image
  • ^^^ wow you are pickyimage. I got a minty Donkey Kong at my work for 14 total. I was pretty happy because it was marked at 20 but i checked the computer and it hadnt been marked down to 15. That employee discount takes care of tax. usually run you 20 on ebay for that one so 14 aint so bad.

I actually missed DK because I had a -CAN one.  When I filtered out -CAN, that was one of the ones I needed.  No biggie, I can get it any day of the week, I just don't like the prices on it image
  • Picture of the cart and sticker? I've had good success with rubbing alcohol with the rental sticker residue, but you need to have fast hands before the glue simply smears and becomes even stickier.

Keep in mind that the cart is unlicensed so it might not have as good a quality label as you might think.

  • Does Wally Bear have a glossy finish on the label? If so, a hair dryer and some patience would get it off easily. If not, you could still try the hair dryer trick, but it'll be more difficult. I have about a 50/50 success rate when it comes to plain sticker labels and stickers on them.
  • if the label has any degree of glossyness to it, you should be fine dabbing the rental sticker with alchohol or googone. If it doesnt however, those methods will probably damage the label.
  • ^ AVE games do not have a robust gloss.

Your best bet is to just gently use your fingertip and sloooowly work it away. I would avoid using any sort of solvent on an AVE label.
  • I agree with Dan. A hairdryer on medium head might help soften the glue a bit. The rest is 100% patients.
  • Hairdryer should work fine.
  • okay, I'll try one of these methods and let you guys know.
  • and the next time you drive by a blockbuster, give them the FU salute.
  • WALLY BEAR LIVES !
  • Had the same problem with Mermaids of Atlantis...dab a little lighter fluid (the kind that goes into lighters, not grills - it must have naphta (sp?)) on it, works great and doesn't damage the label underneath.
