I started out in Military Intelligence and studied Russian at Defense Language Institute in Montery California. Then went over to Communications and became a radio operator/repair. I was in the reserves but the training was long. I tried ROTC out flip floped between the reserves and the national guard and finally was placed on IRR. I was in for 8 years I think and got my discharge papers 2 weeks before they went in against Iraq the second time.
