  • That is amazing.
  • Nice finds...what game stores did you hit, if you don't mind me asking. I don't know of many game stores in the cincy area that have any nes stuff other than the shitty Play and Trade in Milford.

    My thoughts exactly, I'm speechless.
  • Whenever I see shit like this I cant help but to think to myself

"they're bullshitting the price" Great score man.
  • Ha, that Play 'n Trade in Milford sucks ass. I asked the guy there if they had any boxed games, and he said no, they usually throw the boxes away. I thought, "You're effing kidding me!!", so I asked if they had any they hadn't thrown away yet. He said no, so I left pissed. Anyway, I usually go to Game Swap, as they usually have a decent selection. There are 4 in that area: 1 in Florence, KY, 2 in Cincy, and 1 in Dayton.

Thanks!  I'm not bullshitting the price either; that's why I was so happy to post this!
  • holy shit. some people are retarded! that is so much stuff. you would think people would actually look up the value of some of this stuff! congrats
  • holy crap! that's crazy!
  • Very nice haul my man
  • I'm going to have so much fun cleaning those NES systems (heavy sarcasm). I'll probably have to re-pin them, too. I plan on selling the systems and some of the games; PM me if you are interested.
  • my goodness. I am jealous. Been slim pickins my way in the last year.
  • damn...that kicks my find to the curb.

    awesome find, jealously ensues
  • Only $50 nice.
  • wow, that is a great pull for $50!
  • Now that's a good haul!!
  • Well, after not updating this in a while, I have some new finds worthy of posting. It's been mostly one or two games here and there lately, but I thought these were great pickups:

Picked up some stuff from a buddy of mine at work - I gave him $80.

Here's a closeup of the games themselves:

  • I think I should take a flight to Cincinnati very soon! Seems like there's an untapped wealth of games in your area. Those huge finds for cheap are slowly becoming non-existent in my area.
  • Man, I had a hell of a weekend!  I got ALL of the following for around $90.00:

A nice NP magazine lot, and most of them are mint:

    image

    An awesome manual lot:

    image

A lot of carts and CIB's:

    image

And my favorite group of the weekend, a fan-freakin-tastic 5-screw lot:

    image

All in all, this find added up to a crazy amount of stuff.  The 5-screw Skate or Die carts are just like the other Ultra error carts (no back label, 5 security screws, etc.).

Best of the Best Champ. Karate
    Blades of Steel (red label)
    Gotcha! (5-screw)
Hunt for Red October - hey, I needed an upgrade.......
    Lunar Pool (5-screw)
    Skate or Die (5-screw x 2!!)

    Code Name: Viper CIB
    Dr. Chaos CIB
    Terminator 2 CIB
    Track & Field II CIB

Hurricanes (a SNES R8 for cheap!)
Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run (Not for Resale)

    Manuals:
    Batman
    Contra
    Dragon Warrior (for upgrade)
    Monopoly
    SMB/Duck Hunt
    TMNT III (for $0.50!)
    Deja Vu Hint Book
    PGA Tour Golf
    Wario's Woods
    Worms Armageddon (N64, for $0.50!)

17 Nintendo Power mags and 3 Strat. Guides/Hint Guides
  • Man 5-screw carts are so overrated. You want to sell those to me?  image

5-screw carts are sweet, especially when they're rare.  They're definitely keepers. image

What Andy said.  I'm  especially glad to see a second 5-screw Gotcha.

  • 2 5-screw Skate or Dies? Ridonkulous!
  • I knew no one on NA had found one yet, unless someone did and didn't report it. My heart skipped a beat when I saw two, right next to each other in the bargain bin. I love the bargain bins now.
  • Great Finds man!
  • I knew I had seen something lately about N64 Super Bowling on NA. When I walked into a local game store today and saw it, I knew I had to get it. It wasn't until I got home that I discovered I apparently got a heck of a deal:

    image

I only paid $15.00 for it. The box has a bit of wear, but overall it looks pretty good. What baffles me is the eBay prices on this thing. They're all over the place. I even saw a July 31st completed listing where a CIB sold for $140!!

Is this game really that rare or valuable? Here I though my most valuable N64 game was my mint CIB Worms Armageddon.
  • Jealousy! It was a rental only from Blockbuster which is why the box and manual are so hard to find
  • Yep, this is a hard one to get. Probably was in the last 5 carts I need to complete my loose N64 set. Nice find, great price!
  • Thought this was a pretty good find in the wild:

    image

I also noticed it was the competition label on the back:

    image

The store I bought it from had $50 on it, but I was able to talk them down to $35.  I don't usually find carts this rare around here.
