Game Boy Kiosk (1989) - Tabletop w/pics!
Alright, so I posted this bad boy in the price check section before picking it up, and I think this qualifies as an epic find. It really has little to no big cosmetic issues. A small 1 inch crack on the back that doesn't even go all the way through the plastic, some typical yellowing , a couple of little cracks on the inside where the Demovision sits. Also includes a silver Game Boy Pocket and Super Mario Land 2.
PRICE PAID: I got this in a bundle with a minty top loading NES w/3 common games and 2 dogbone controllers for $190 total! So I guess I paid about $140-$150 for the kiosk if you subtract some cash for the NES package.
PICS:
The first pic shows the unit as more yellow than it actually is because of lighting issues.

Will I be selling it? Like most people, I'd sell any of my possessions for the right price. One of these DID sell for $1600+$200 a little while ago, and while I think that is an astronomical price for this rig, I will probably throw it up on eBay for a while at a $1500 BIN to see if I can get lucky, and I hope nobody blames me for that.

Good to see you picked it up, that thing looks to be in great condition.
Yeah, it is really nice. The sound wasn't working when I first got it, but all it took was a little love with the soldering iron and it works great now (and it can go REALLY loud, the little Nintendo "ding" when you start the system just about shattered my skull).
The problem with mine is that the stickers on each side of the GB Pocket system are peeling and badly damaged. I wish I had a good way to replace them, but I can't figure out a way to get a clear high quality shot to try to make new ones.
Nice find!
PS- Any chance of getting a photo copy of that DEMO VISION INSTRUCTION sheet?
So was this the only way to display GB games on a TV screen before the Super Gameboy came along?
Never really thought of that. If the SGB never came out that would make these that much more cool.
Nice snag dude!

Thanks! The Demovision unit inside actually works like a gigantic Super Game Boy. You could take the Demovision out, attach a Game Boy to it, and just plug it into a regular t.v. if you wanted to.
Nice pickup!
