I Got a 3DO From Craiglist

Some of you might know I used craiglist for the first time http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=7&threadid=35267. So I had little trouble getting hold of him but he call me back when I was working. Luckly I work out side so none of  my manger or supervisor were watching me. I told him was working and I won't be off until 8. He said where I work So he can get rid of the system. I told him and 30 minuts later the guy show and hand me the system. I paid 40$ for the system and 2 games. I had to sneak the system into the store into the break room to put it in my book bag. 2 of my manger saw me with the system but didn't say a thing. Skipping all lame part. The system works.

  • I've always wanted a 3DO ever since I saw the movie with Pauly Shore (In the Army Now), where he's playing that tank game at the very begining.

I've never played a 3DO or even know the title of that game. Nice pick up.
  • Return fire is the game you're talking about. It's the best game on the system!! Nice pick up man!! You can burn the games just to let ya know
  • Congrats man! I've had 3 3D0 systems land on my lap in lots off of craigslist. I kept one and I've had it hooked up for about a year, but never had the ambition to play any of the games.
  • Found a 3DO at a swap meet awhile back for $5. I've yet to try it out.

The curiosity would have killed me Pat, you never tried it? Are there any really good games out there for it? Will Batman and Robin escape the clutches of the Joker's trap? Inquiring minds must know!
  • I have a chance to get one CIB for $75 from a local Pawn Shop. Also had a slug of games CIB going anywhere from 20-40 each. Not sure if I want to get into it or not. I keep telling myself I am getting out of all the other systems. Then something nice like this pops up.

That's a bit pricey for 3DO junk, in my opinion.

I almost bought a 3DO off of a website.  it claimed to have 100 games with it plus a system for $300 + shipping.  Thought it was a fairly good deal, but then read the seller feedback.  Lots of complaints of receiving burned copies of discs.  So I passed.
  • Congrats on your new 3DO! My college roommate had a 3DO, and we would play Need for Speed non-stop. We used to crack up over the douchey racer character that would taunt or congratulate you during cutscenes. It shouldn't be hard to track down a copy, I think the douchey cutscenes are unique to the 3DO version so check it out, worth a laugh IMO.

Def pickup Return Fire, awesome game. There is a sequel iirc, don't know if it's any good?

Also, smoke weed and then pop a music CD into your 3D0 to see a psychedelic display!
  • best game on 3DO imo...AD&D Slayer. 1st person shooter/RPG. Badass game. Also check out....

Well, it didn't come with a controller, and at the time I didn't have a game (I think I picked up Wing Commander for it). I'll probably test it out relatively soon. image
