help with honey bee

i bought a honey bee converter off ebay(famicom to nes) and i cant seem to get it working, ive put it in with the cart facing up(like a normal nes game) and facing down, ive cleaned the connectors on the honey bee and my famicom games


the games im trying to get going is rockman 5 and yoshi's cookie

is there something special i have to do?

    Have you tried using it with a top loading system? I've had the most luck in that department. Also, It sounds like you've done this, but make sure you have the Famicom cart facing the opposite way a NES cart would. Good luck...

    i only have a toster nes (a bunch of them at that) but yeah ive tried it facing down

    Has the CIC in your NES been disabled? If not, it's possible that whatever the adapter is trying to do to bypass the CIC, is ineffective on your NES. I have a few different types of these adapters but not a Honey Bee, so I'm not sure what method it uses. As for the cart orientation, the Famicom cart has the front label facing down. The adapter most likely goes in the same (face down) but some do work the opposite way instead.
