Couldn't agree more dude, the first time I went there I was looking for a SNES adaptor for a bare console I had found in the wild. He didn't have any, but he was glad to try and sell me a generic adaptor for $15. He said he could even cut me a "discount" and throw in AV cables for an extra $5.

That's when I went down to the flea market on Ortiz and bought a first-party one for $5. That place can be great for adaptors, as long as you have the time to sort through all their junk.

I've never been back since then, but I've been tempted to go and act like a total idiot and waste his time for a few hours. That might be fun.

OT: Awesome find, but I don't think I'd be willing to meet someone in Ft Myers at 11 at night. Now that takes commitment!

Trust me you don't want to get him started.  Brad and I were there this past weekend and I got him going about systems, and he swears up and down that there is a gold NES system.

Haha oh man, he sounds like quite the character. Do you know if he's friends with those vendors next to him? (the ones that spread all their games out on the table). Seems like every time I walk by he is talking to them, or atleast trying to.

No exaggeration.  Justin warned me before we got there, "this guy's a tool", and oh how he did not disappoint.  I only made it about 2 minutes in his booth before I had to walk away as he tried to argue, arrogantly I might add, with Justin about gold nintendos and red cartridges.   Justin, just remember, all you have to do is give him a wishlist and he'll find it for you and cut you a deal ......

The other vendors actually had some pretty decent deals.  I got a minty copy of Soul Blazer, a CB Phantasy Star 4, and a CIB Castlevania: Bloodlines for $30 from one of them.  I also got a minty Liberty or Death and Legendary Axe for $10.  Oh yeah .... don't take $100 bills to the flea market or else you'll have to buy a faulty cap light to make change image

Thanks again for the good times and hopefully we can do it again sometime.
