I reconnected with a kid I went to high school on facebook yesterday. he knew i had an ebay store and said he has a bunch of games and systems that he wants to get rid of..this is what he has.. i'm not too sure on the geneis stuff (i think they're mostly commons) or the virtual boy game so any help would be appreciated..I'd be buying this strictly for resale.

  • Well, you really can't go wrong with Funky Bowling!
  • This is tough. He is obviously a friend, and follows your ebay store. If you are buying strictly for resale, will he be mad when you buy low from him just to make money?

I would be up front and just tell him you buy at so much % of actual $ worth, and this is what I can give. After all, it is what gamestop does, and many use their services regardless of the known loss of trade-ins.

As far as value, it seems most is somewhat common? I'm too lazy to look it all up, lol.

    Good luck!
  • I'd probably do no more than $20 for the Genesis stuff, $30 for the NES stuff, $40 for the SNES stuff, and $15 for the N64 games. Make it a round $100 or even a little less (you might be able to get about $220-$240 total after fees for everything depending on how you sell it).

Edit: Maybe $250 total resale, I didn't notice Funky Bowling in there.
  • Unfortunately I don't even know if I'd offer $100 for that. There's certainly more than $100 worth of stuff, but once again you have to consider the time and effort you'd spend in listing and parting it out. Most of the genesis and common games are going to be tough sells.

As a side bit of information, N64 Pokemons can be tough sells by themselves but fly off the shelves when bundled together. Took mine less than a day to sell at $9.99 w/ $3.99 shipping and I'm going to relist it when my next lot arrives.

  • thanks guys, I offered him $80 for it all. he said he just wanted to get rid of it all so we'll see what he says, i left it open ended so he can come back with another price. I figure selling the systems would probably at least make my money back.
  • There are a couple of fun Genesis games in their, but as far as resale goes you'll be sitting on the Genny stuff unless you sell it for auction as a large lot.
  • He took $80 for it all.. thanks for everyone's help.
  • Nice! The N64 games plus a handful of NES games will make your money back easily.
  • Yeah, that Excitobile 64 must be a $100 proto or something image
  • 80 for all of it is a good price. damn
  • LOL Excitobile!

Sounds like some kind of horrible alternative to pepto-bismol.

  • lol, I don't want my bile to be excited, especially in 64-bits
  • Okay, so he dropped off everything tonight for me. I think I made a good investment.... turns out he had more than he thought. All NES games Have Manuals. Everything here will be for sale.

  • nice find I was following this board on the finders keepers, but damn you did good on that gotta love old friends for that very reason. I get alot of free stuff from friends but I don't sell those things, unless I buy it from them saying I could make money off this.
  • Ho boy! Nice score. Tell your friend you love him.image
  • not a bad find. congrats. should easily make some profit.
  • Holy $#!T! That might be the steal of the year.
