A nice birthday present

Turned older a couple days ago, and to mark the occasion I got a package in the mail containing A CIB Zelda:  A Link to the Past.  It's the player's choice edition and the seal was broken on the little secrets insert, but other than that everything's in great shape.  Very happy to have it in my collection.

And while it's not a new acquisition, I'm a little new to the finer points of NES collecting, and discovering that my copy of Qix is far from the 50 cent game I thought it was also put a smile on my face.  Pretty good birthday.

  • Yeah, Qix kicks ass. Not only the game though, the member we have here as well!
  • Cool man, I actually really like the look of the LttP Player's Choice label.
  • I've always been a fan of trying to get the original packages for games as opposed to te rehash, but some of them look good, SNES included. I don't like the PS1/2 player's choice equivalents, and some of the XBox 360 Platinum Hits or whatever look pretty bad (and some look good, they differ, which I fin odd). The PS3's red box Player's Choice equivalent look nice.

Good score dude, LttP has always been my favorite Zelda. I put it over Ocarina any day. And I've neve played Qix, if I have it, I'll have to pop it in!
  • Happy late birthday. nice score too.

This!  The player's choice box art is a million times cooler than the regular one and I'm still looking for a good copy at a good price.  It'll be the only Player's Choice or Greatest Hits game that I actually prefer over the original though.

And on the topic of Qix, I just finally won my first CIB copy this week in the entire time I've been collecting.  Always wanted it in Excellent condition for less than $25 and never had a chance to get it until just recently.
