Got some cool Famicom Pirates Today

Today I got some really cool famicom pirates, as well as a famiclone that resembles a PSOne. I got them from a friend in Mexico, and I'll I had to trade him was a few game gear games (Sonic 2 and Shinobi) and a few Game Boy games. Here are the games I got:

Pretty cool, the one on the top left is my first ever N64-shaped famicom game. A lot of these games have really cool chinese originals, or high numbers of games. (101 in 1, no repeat, 76 in 1 no repeat). Like I said, I also got a pretty cool Famiclone that resembles a PSOne, but it doesn't play as well as some of my other clones. What do you guys think?

  • Ha, Macross boxart ends up on a famiclone cart. That's great! Also, what's with Buzz lightyear?
  • Pretty sweet. Did you have to put any cash into the deal at all?
  • Nope, not unless you count the money it took to ship his package. image

And Lol @ the buzz lightyear, Pirate labels are so weird. That cart contains nothing related to Toy Story. It does have Castlevania 1 with some weird hacked sound effects though.
  • a ha. i have about 10 of these wierd famicom carts that i had no idea what they were. now i realize they are pirates. any value to any of these or are they just novel?
  • It depends. Some of the rare carts fetch a pretty penny.
  • I will be going to china in some time soon and probably grab some nice onces while I am there. the online marked for famicom clones is huge there

If you happen to find some pirated games from the company "Super Game", contact me. image
  • Pirated Famicom games are just cool, and weird when you discover hacks, like that cart labeled "Super Wonderful Mario" is Super Mario USA hacked as "Super Bros 5" and an extremely strange Galaxian hack called "Night Arrow". Also some cool Chinese original games like Magic Carpet 1001.
  • Which Contra pirate game is that?
  • It is actually a 42-in-1, which has Contra, but when you select it, you are taken to a menu where you can choose any weapon or level to start on. I do own some other Contra pirates, Super Contra 5, as well as Contra 6 and 7 on a multicart.

Super Game? I think I might have some of those.
  • I have always wondered why Mexico has Famicom pirates and why they don't end up in the states.
  • I was trying to get a 42-in1 off of Aryko, but sadly, i think it's gone. image
  • anyone know if the pirates play in the regular nes with a converter?
  • They should. Pirates are almost identical to the construction of standard famicom games. that is correct, yes?
  • Yeah, they would would on a NES with a converter. I've just been playing them on my Famicom.
  • I remember seeing that PS1 styled Famiclone on my CL or Ebay a few weeks ago, someone was asking for $40.00 for it I believe? Said he got it straight from Japan.
  • Wow that's way overpricing. Famiclones are worthless. Some of them are really cool, but they're worthless.
  • Shipping normally kills the deal too.
  • Never pay more than 10 dollars for a Famiclone, or 15 shipped. Any more, and they're ripping you off.
  • The only one that I would really spend 40 on is that keyboard variant which i need to get from MWK.
  • Yeah, I guess those keyboards ones are worth that. But they're definitely not worth the 99.99 people try selling them for on Ebay.

Yea, they are worth $20-30 tops; unless they have the print port on the back then they could be worth alot more.

Of course, MWK lives in Poland, so his prices are still reasonable.
