Nice Ebay Find

Got this the second it came out.  Couldnt help myself.  Figure I'd make the $$$ back selling the games plus a few of my own.

Parents sold my R.O.B. long time ago (15 years or so) for $5 in a garage sale.  Glad I could finally get my hands back on one for a decent price boxed.

  • very cool Rob is hard to find in that box considering most ppl got it in the deluxo set
  • Nice pick up!
  • Thanks! Now I have a chance to play my $3 copy of Stack Up image
  • Cool pick up! Oddly enough I got my complete (like new) Deluxe set at a Flea Market on a day basically no one was there from this Mexican guy that essentially spoke no English for get this...$1. The only thing missing from the set was the actual NES Deck, which I easily replaced in the box.

Cool find! Everyone should have one.
  • Now thats a good find image Deluxe sets are pricey items to acquire
  • Got the item but the guy/girl was a smoker. Any best tips on getting the smell out? Cleaners? Wipes? Thanks!

Smoke is pretty much impossible to get out image Sorry to have had that happen...I think you are stuck with it. Best thing to do is just leave it all open and hope the smell goes away over time...

  • Good pick up dude.
  • And strangely I went to the pawn shop today and found me another copy of Stack Up for $10!
  • Open up the NES and let everything sit out in the open for about 2 weeks and the smell should be gone. You might want to do it in a garage if it isn't too humid. Of course, keep it out of the sun.
  • Good find, i'm still looking for my Deluxe set.

Holy crap!  That's an excellent Deluxe Set story!  I have a good one; I'll try to keep it short.. After ebay-chattin, I find myself driving 5+ hours to Michigan [from PA] to buy a huge collection a [new] reseller had acquired and was overwhelmed with.  I leave with 180+ mint cib games, a pre-Deluxe set, and SO much more.  (A mint cib Stack-Up I'll mention, since we're talkin ROB.)   I'll never forget the whole experience.. it was crazy, and an awesome way to acquire a bunch of black box stuff.  =)

  • So I have left everything out and even flipped over the games in a room with the fan on and the smell is 90-95% out. I guess just leaving it alone is the best way to get it out. THanks for the tips m8's!
