My Father bought mine in Louisiana at the Belle Chase Navy Exchange in Dec 85'. I was ten at the time...What a Xmas present! Still to this day my Dad buys me consoles for Xmas and I'm 38 years old! And no I don't live with my parents still. Married with children...HAHAHAHA.
In a lot of 8 NES systems I recently purchased on eBay, I noticed one of them had a very low serial number. N0009054
I took it apart and it had a version 01 circuit board copyright 1985 in it.
The board has 2 wire jumpers [on the bottom] between pins on U7 and U8, and seems to be missing the metal shielding that normally wraps around the expansion port.
The system's case had a smooth top
CPU - RP2A03E
PPU - RP2C02E
I also have systems with version 04 and version 05 circuit boards:
N17469020 - Toaster - Action Set - Original green Walmart sticker with the logo - I purchased the Action Set via Craigslist. The gentlemen that I purchased it from bought it from a yard sale for $10.
N34151202 - Toaster - Red Service Label - Challenge Set - Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) price sticker for $87.00 - I purchased the Control Set via Craigslist from the original owner who was selling it to raise funds for his recent divorce.
N32862393 NES-CPU-10 1987 (may have been part of Action Set)
N11463992 NES-CPU-07 1987
NES-101
NN102034941 NESN-CPU-01 1993
Shouldn't the list be ordered by serial number and not by user? This registry would be a useful guide on revision history of the NES. Unless is a distinctly low number who really cares who owns what?
Hello everyone! I have here the newest addition to the collection and to the system registry list: NES-101 Serial NN10000058(0). Recently purchased from ebay. Luckily the seller had a picture of the underside showing the serial number so I snatched it up. Have we decided if the last shaded number is part of the production count ?
