Moving to Dallas

Well, I got an excellent job offer from a company in Dallas Tx.

Any of you folks near there? Any advice about moving a long distance? I'll be moving 1000 miles to take this job.

What's worth doing in Dallas? Etc.

Wow, congratulations on getting a job offer good enough to move 1000 miles to take it. I don't know if you saw this, but NintendoAGE does have a Frappr map that locates where its members are located around the world:

According to the map, D_N_G is located in Dallas, and he's the only member in the entire state of Texas. So now you'll be the second.
  • I am not a big Texas fan to be honest. Very flat and boring looking. I need mountains and green it is all flat and brown image

  • I have Cowboys season tickets does that count?
  • I have lived in San Antonio for the past two years, about 4 hours south from Dallas. I have lived on both coasts and overseas, Texas is the only place that I have lived where the residents treat the state as their own country! image There is a ton of "Texas" pride among the people who live here, I am not really sure why. The saying "everything is bigger in Texas" is true, I am not really sure why. I have never seen a Georgia or a California Tattoo, but I have seen several Texas ones, again I am not really sure why. It is by no means a horrible place to live, but for me, it is just another hot mid-western state that does not live up to all the hype. One bonus regarding the "everything is bigger" quote is that it holds true for the flea markets, thrift stores and pawn shops! They are huge and they are everywhere. You should have some good game hunting once you get situated. Best of luck with the move man!
