flea market deal
nothin huge but i was happy to find cart onlies of excite bike with a manual, r.c. pro am, dr. mario, a tengen indiana jones and the temple of doom, rygar, and a zapper for $7 at the flea market this morning I was looking at a Kid Icarus in the box but he was claiming it was factory sealed and only wanted $20. it seemed to cheap to be real and his cellophane was flawless and looked like a reseal so i passed, i don't collect in the box but i might go back and pick it up next weekend. what does an Icarus box go for with a cart and manual?

it should be centered down the back of the box correct?? a couple i looked at were sealed along the side which didn't look right to me, i need to read up on my authenticity skills..
There's a back issue of the e-zine (one of the first ones, check Vol.1, think issue 3 or 4 but might be later) that Bronty wrote about seal types on specific games. Some games didn't have the back seal, although they were mainly late release Acclaim games, or unlicensed games. Still, the horizontal seam on the back usually means it's legit (not always though), but not having it doesn't make the seal automatically not legit. Dig up that article, it's a good read. And even if they're not legit, you'll at least have nice boxed games, and people here would gladly buy up the boxes and manuals you get, especially if they're mint.
