Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
HAHA! Did no one else notice this? That was great.
Sorry if I mucked up your thread with fatties, nesguy.

Son of a bitch! I must have read right past this, American Psycho is one of my favorite movies ever!
I would drink to if I had to use a damn I-pod...........Zune all day!
lol... hate aPple all you want, but iPods really are great products. There are other players out there that have slightly better sound quality out of the box, what they are solidly built players, and the wheel was a great interface pre-touchscreen. I hated aPple for a long time but have to admit iPods are nice.
Zunes are nice too. Underrated. Do you have an HD?

Quoted for truth- the IPod I use every single day now was found in the middle of the street in a rainstorm after having been ran over multiple times. I pulled the broken glass out of the screen, and it worked like a charm.
I still need to watch "Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog". I hear it's pretty much the best thing ever. And it was Joss Whedon who directed it. That's just sexy. I have no explanation for why "sexy" is the adjective that comes to mind, but it does. Something about Firefly. Jewel Statte (sp?). The mechanic chick. She ate a strawberry. That was hot.
Shut up, go watch it yourself. See if you can walk straight afterward.
"Dr. Horrible's Sing A Long Blog" rocks my face off and Firefly is my favorite TV show of all time!!!
Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion.
In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist.
This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.
I grew up hating "In the Air Tonight" because whenever my mom and her best friend were up drinking they would listen to that 1 song over and over again all night long. After not hearing it for many years, I can finally appreciate it for what it is.

I remember my friend and I rocking out to it during the opening game a few years ago already really drunk before the Dolphins and the Steelers went at it. Good times indeed, it really is a killer drinking song if you're in a weird mood.
