How did I do?

Well, I saw that someone had an Impossible Mission II on eBay, so I bid on it for fun.  Didn't think I was going to win it, but no one else bid, so I won it for a dollar + shipping.  I think it was a good deal, but maybe
not.  Regardless, I didn't expect to see this when I opened the package:

I guess I didn't realize there was a black and white one of these, especially since the auction had a picture of the AVE color label version, not the SEI version.  Sooo.....how much rarer is this b&w version than the color label versions, if at all?  I read that it's a bit harder to find, so I'm curious.  And does anyone know what that 1425-01 sticker means?

  • I had one like this as well, except worse condition. you definitely didn't go wrong at $4-5. the sticker - maybe a rental one? not sure though.
  • Those numbers don't seem to correspond to anything off the chips looking at both entries in Bootgod's database. But the label is so neat I can't help but think it was put there at assembly. Odd.

Fine pickup but still worth about guide value, the B+W and color SEI both seem to be about even frequency.
  • The closer I look at the number sticker, it has rounded edges on the left side, while the right side corners are pointed. Looks like it was part of a longer sticker that was cut in half and then placed on the cart label. Weird. In any case, it only set me back a pittance.
  • I paid like $6 at a retail place for my copy. I also thought it might be more difficult to obtain but I was informed otherwise as well.
  • This was on my watch list on ebay. I was tempted to grab it but I just wasnt sure.
  • In my experience the B&W SEI is more common than the colour label one, but neither commands a premium, and both are worth more than the AVE one image As for the sticker, it's probably a rental sticker. I opened one of these sealed and it didn't have anything like that.
