A section to post carts with unique markings?

We have somewhat discussed this before, but how about a place to post pics of carts with unique markings? My reasoning is this. Did you have a cart as a kid that you either wrote or carved your name on, and years down the road come across it again? Are you looking for a cart from your past that had a unique tell tale marking on it? Maybe one of us has come across it (or actually possesses it) This would be a kinda cool way of re-obtaining stuff from the past. We could do this with systems as well. Anyone else think its a good idea? It could work with my idea of a system registry by serial number.

  • I like the idea.  I never carved or scratched or wrote on any of my games, but i think that'd be fun for people who did.

I wouldn't mind a section to show the abuse of games, and also the terribly horrid pictures of them.   I have some burn victims, some labels that make me laugh.
  • Yeah, it sounds weird that someone would carve into their carts, but I have a Clash at Demonhead that someone took what lookes to be a very large knife and just hacked their initials D.B into the back. Ive had some other weird items as well
  • My favorite is homemade labels. I have this amazing smb 3 one.  i'll post it.

  • OK Dain and Jason..It looks like this will have to be a part of the site overhaul image
  • I've seen a bunch with written or carved initials. alot of stores used to do it though too ;(

    Edit:
    Rental stores etc.
  • Just start up a thread here on the forums, if it becomes popular we can always make it a sticky.

  • I bought a lot once of eBay that had some kids name and social security number carved in the back of each cart. I wonder how many credit cards are out there in his name now since I just resold them piece by piece.
  • Mega whoops!

I used to carve my initials on the carts "D + A" and actually bumped into the original LoZ I owned as a kid. It was pretty beat up at that point, but I was amazed to find it 3,000 miles from where I was raised. To my own disbelief, I didn't save it (I meant to) and it's now long gone image
  • So your the one who carved DA into my Stadium Events cart....damn you!! LOL
  • Oh yeah! That's right! Ahem, just, uh, send it on back here, would ya? I'll pay shipping image
  • I used to put one pubic hair inside of each of the games I owned. So good luck finding those.

Anyways I stopped doing that like two or three weeks ago.
