MEGA score this weekend!

Went to a yard sale. People have nothing, said to my dad "let's get the hell out of here" and I started to head down the driveway to the car. I then told the lady I was looking for old video game stuff and she told me she had some old nintendo stuff in the house and would bring it out...

She brought out this:

plus a console and aklaim double player. Asked how much, she said $25 for it all. I offered $20 she said sure, just take it out of here! The n64 Castlevania was $1, so I got all of it for $21.

Next day I got Mega Man (NES), Bionic Commando, Duck Tales and Punch-Out for $2 each (mega man is broken sadly). Then I got Donkey Kong bongos in the box for $1.

Then later I got a bunch of games for $10.

  • Nice find. I wish I found stuff at garage sales!
  • Most is for sale, I forgot to mention. Some is going to eBay tonight, so if you want anything, be quick or be dead!
  • nice man you can almost get all of your money back on cases alone haha
  • what do you mean megaman is broken?
  • ^^ This is true I have only had 1 cart based game I couldn't get to work in my life.
  • Well aside from the label being torn to shit, the plastic parts inside the cart shell are broken, so the rom doesn't hold in place.I'm hoping somebody out there has an extra shell for a Mega Man 1, haha.
  • NICE! great score of some very fun classic games.
  • You can just super glue those pieces back on man.

    Oh yeah nice find!
  • That is a very amazing deal! I cant wait for garage sale season here again.
  • If all else fails with the MM just steal a case from a random game and make you own label heh.

  • What's funny is that awhile back, I mentioned that Mega Man, Bionic Commando and GI Joe all seemed impossible to find out in the wild. Then I find ALL 3 in one weekend, ALL within walking distance from my house.

I have a ton of those clear cases and I am not very fond of them, so they are up for grabs.
  • I don't think there's much of a way to destroy the games unless the chip is broken heck I'd go as far as finding another game and swapping the prg and chr chips to get a good title working if the board was bad ooh looks like silent service would work for a chip swap. that's a game common enough (and bad enough) I'd destroy just for the fun of it (just like the SNES maddens that snes repros are mostly based on!)

you can probably just glue it back together though.
  • great haul!
  • That's very impressive. $20, hell Bubble Bobble with that book tends to net $15 or so alone. Joe and Mac is nothing to sneeze at either, let alone a few of the others too.
  • Nice pickup - especially the Bubble Bobble with the manual!
