today is the first day of deer season I will be heading into the woods here shortly. two weeks ago i came within 6 inches of getting a nice eight point and thursday night almost got a big 12 point with my car   We have to many deer around here I would say there are 3 times as many deer killed by cars than hunters

    i could never understand how someone can kill a living creature just for the fun and 'sport' of it

    its not my thing either but if you're actually butchering and eating what you hunt then its really no different than buying meat at the grocery store. In fact maybe its better if the game at least gets to live its life in the wild as opposed to some tiny cage like most grocery store meat. really the only people on the right side of things if you're going to raise a moral argument are the vegatarians. I've accepted the fact that cow is too tasty not to eat.

    I think hunting is OK, as long as your bow hunting.  Anybody, and I mean anybody, can shoot a deer with a shotgun.  It takes a lot of skill and patience to killa deer witha bow and arrow.

    I would never hunt myself cause I don't like to kill anything (other than insects, especially spiders) but I don't see anything wrong it so long as you eat what you kill.

    LoL one day I'm going to get one of those metal deer the cops use to catch hunters in the off season and sit behind it and when I hear a bang I'll shoot back with an ar15

    Thing is in this state there are 4 times the number of deer killed by cars than what hunters take. So instead of filling up someones freezer they just lie along the road and rot. and I would rather see a hunter kill a deer then for the countless deer that get hit and end up suffering for days or weeks from injuries caused by a car. also around here there are fields full of dead deer who died from cronic wasting diease from over population. Hunting just like everything else has its bad eggs but it is a needed thing to control the population
