The way I look at is that most people cheat on there significant other at some point anyway, so you might was well get a million bucks for it and be open about it.

If I was dating someone I wasn't going to marry I'd be all over it too, but for the wife? I couldn't do it. Too many what ifs. As in what if the relationship changes afterwards? There would be a lot of potential for that to happen, just like in the movie. And then your whole life unravels and before you know it NGD is spending more time with your wife and kids than you are? That's not worth it. If you could control the feelings/reactions of everyone involved that would be one thing but I think what would really happen is that one party to the relationship can't deal with it, and then your whole family splits apart. If one person cheats at least there's a) the potential for the other to never find out and b) the potential to say that you just acted on human impulse but if you're just straight up taking cash for someone to be with your wife you're basically saying to her that you will pimp her out to anybody willing to write a cheque. And that's going to leave one of you unhappy.
Basically this whole thing comes down to which makes you happier, love or money? Money's nice but you need someone to enjoy it with you.

I do think some rules would have to be put into play first, like all parites involved had to be tested clean and safe. Plus it would have to only be a 1 time thing. Lots of couples swing or have threesomes, and have perfectly happy lives.

Two things. First, its like Seinfeld....... either you're an "orgy guy" or you're not. More importantly, you're wife/SO is either an "orgy girl" or not. Chances you're both orgy people who have are pretty slim. Could happen but pretty slim.
Second. That's recreational. Doing it because you both want to. But selling her body puts a whole new twist on your relationship and introduces a whole new level of emotions. Questions in the back of her head and yours.

All valid points. But then again this is all speculation anyways. Who on earth would really offer a million bucks to sleep with anyone? Even if I had the money I wouldn't, no piece of ass is worth that much IMO. I also think it would matter why type of financial situation the couple was in at the time as well. If they were about to lose a house or something people would be more apt to consider things. Always fun to speculate
