Trip World for Game Boy, CIB

This is one of the more (most?) rare European exclusive titles. I've been wanting to find a copy ever since I heard about it a year or so ago, but I never saw a single copy pop up on ebay.com (even with Worldwide checked on my saved search). Earlier this summer, I asked a couple of our German members to keep on eye on ebay.de for me, and last month, DMG dropped me a PM saying a nice looking CIB had shown up. The only downside was that it the seller was shipping only within Germany

I just searched for this game on the NA database and it came up with nothing -- is NES the only category so far that lists games from other regions? I'd like to learn more about region exclusives on platforms other than NES.

Not 100% sure, but I'm fairly certain that the GB database is only USA right now.

We actually only have US for Gameboy in the database at the moment. BTW, what made you think this didn't exist? I've seen it a few times in the last few years.

Well, with shipping internally in Germany and reshipping to US, grand total price came to about $90. A little pricey for a GB game, but the last cart-only auction sold for $40 shipped USD (31.75 in euros), so I think the price I paid isn't too bad for a nice CIB.

@Dain: I'm curious, how many CIB's have you seen in the last few years? Like I said, this one has been on my saved search for almost a year, and I haven't seen a single instance of it CIB. I know that won't ping results that don't ship to the US, but that's still pretty unbelievable.

It's not really that unbelievable at all, if you ask me. You have to visit other non-US ebay sites to see a lot of titles, and if you're not doing that, you simply won't see them, saved search or not. I visit several other ebay sites on a daily basis hunting for US titles, and in the process, I've seen pretty much all of the known non-US exclusives multiple times. That's how I got Spud's Adventure and many other HTF titles that you probably haven't seen show up either in over a year. I've found that saved searches for international sites are somewhat worthless.
