I got this also for $20 but didn't think it was much of a deal. It was just complete with 2 controllers all the hook ups and it was clean. It also had a mario/duck hunt inside.
Most goodwills in my area mark everything up with sharpies as well. They lost so many sales from me when they decided to ruin tons of game boxes and system boxes.
Wow, I'm glad my Goodwill has the courtesy to use price stickers on everything.
And that's lame on the not seeing a price thing. One time there was something interesting I saw that didn't have a price sticker, and the cashier lady was kind enough to give it a price.
Wow yours guys goodwill murder innocent game boxes and hardware will bullshit markers?! Fuck I'd get in their faces over that one if I ever caught that locally. Sadly they don't sell old stuff at mine as it never comes in anymore, but when they do sell stuff they use these paper (usually green like 1"x1.5" paper stickers with light glue to them and marker the price on that.
Wow, dumbasses. Tell them to stop writing on shit or at least write it on a piece of tape or something. I had the same problem with a MINT Pokemon Crystal CIB at a yard sale. This thing was brand new, looked like it was just opened, it had the plastic over the cart and everything. The owners wrote $2.00 in sharpie right on the front of the box. Still worth it, but I mean damn, what a way to devalue a game.. stupid shit like that annoys me.

Unfortunately, most people also don't understand the value of games. Consider that they're selling the game for $2 anyways.
They're Goodwill employees, not NA members. If everyone knew the "value" of old video games, we wouldn't have the "Finders Keepers" thread. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

Regardless if they're NA members or not, most people don't like some asshole writing on whatever they're buying with a marker. If they're going to scratch a $20 on a control deck, what about if they did it on a used tv on the body or the corner of the screen? What about if they did it on the inside flap of a shoe you were buying or the side of it? It's common sense you don't do something that damn retarded to something for sale. It's one strong reason one dude at the swap meet I won't buy shit from as the dumbass uses a sharpee on NES dust covers and the carts he sells.

Pokemon Snap is just plain awesome too.

Wow, Goodwill wrote $20 in sharpie on the NES?
Anyways, congrats!

Aww man, I was hoping you got the super-rare Goodwill N64
Yeah, I heard there were only 0 made, making it very hard to find.

If something doesn't have a price at my Goodwill, the cashier just randomly prices it.
A few times I've taken games up and they were like $5 a piece, so instead of buying them
I took them to another cashier and they only asked for $1 a piece
