Black Friday
I went to a mall - mainly FYE to get the gold Zelda DS bundle...for one reason or another, I absolutely love the gold colored systems. Anyhow...that store was so disorganized and rediculous I was right on the cusp of flipping shit and smashing various parts of their store...store displays, merchandise, customers, employees--you name it! Everyone was let into the mall at 5 only to find out that FYE didn't open until 7 (their flyers and advertisements didn't state when they were opening in the morning). So everyone was filed into a nice line to the side of the store and everything was great...until about 6:50. That's when the manager came out with everyone and said 'If you are waiting for a Wii, I am going to hand out raffle tickets. We have 19 Wiis...I don't care if you've been here since 3:00 or just got here. Everyone is going to get a chance.' So that pissed a bunch of people off. The guy just stood there and handed out tickets, then after about 10 minutes started drawing numbers. 7:00 came and they wouldn't open the doors of the store until all the tickets were given out. So that pissed off everyone that wasn't waiting for a Wii.
Finally, around 7:08 they opened the doors and there was a mad rush to the video game section (an employee had come near the door earlier and told everyone who was looking for other systems to just go up to the register and ask for them). When we got there, we were then told to find 'Elijah' who would then go into the back and bring the system we wanted up to us. So a bumrush of like 15 people jumped on this poor kid and as he started to walk over to the back of this giant store the cashiers started yelling for everyone to stay by the registers and he would bring the systems up. Come to find out, about 5 minutes later, he had gone to the back and just started handing out systems to everyone who had followed him back there. My girlfriend ran to the back of the store when she noticed people starting to walk up with systems in their hands only to miss out on getting a Zelda by one person. She came back to the front of the store severely pissed off and started cussing out the cashiers who had told everyone to wait at the front of the store...but then, just as she looked at me and began to tell me that she wasn't able to grab one, this kid who had originally been behind us in line that had wanted to get a Zune (yes...a Zune) walked up to her with a Zelda bundle in his hand and told her that some guy who grabbed one didn't even want it, so he snagged it for her.
Simply amazing. Thanks to the kindness of a random stranger, I was able to get what I had wanted. That was hands down the most disorganized POS operation I have ever seen at a store before (Not just for a black Friday...for any event). The manager was very rude to everyone and a complete asshole. I'm just very very glad that we had a happy ending.

I had a good experience everywhere I went today except one store gave me the wrong discout on a piece of jewelry, but I went back and they fixed it. I didn't go out until 10:30am and still got the doorbuster i was looking for and only had problems parking at one place. I like to take a more relaxed approach to B.F.
Great. Now I'm going to have to sell my DS and Zelda for this.
edit: Screw it. I went and bought one. I hate Nintendo for knowing how to make me spend money.

Me, my brother, and a friend of ours waited all night in a tent at a Best Buy in Vineland, NJ. I didn't even want anything. I just did it because I had nothing better to do, and it was fun, lol.
That's pretty much why we went...neither of us had ever gone shopping on Black Friday before. It was the first year both of us didn't work in retail.

You are Hardcore Nick!!
I stay away from the stores nothing worse than a herd of bargin hunting women
Unless one of the bargan hunting women is related to you and is able to find a Wii for Christmas
