Wonderswans, game boy games, e-reader and DSi case - japanese festival swap meet

Virtual boy games (wild find, same spot)
  • You've had some epic hauls in Washington. You're changing my opinion that southern California is the best place in the US to hunt (which is where I keep thinking I should move to).

I have to ask. What is that TV? Why is it so special or  unique?

I know when I was a game tester for EA they had these tvs with every input and output I've ever seen plus switches and stuff to flip between NTSC and Pal and a dozen other awesome features. I've been curious about it ever since.
  • That DSI case is sexy as hell. I want it!
  • Nice little find in the wild, pretty good shape for being an ex-rental.

  • Got all of this for 31.00!

Commando for the 7800 > NES, all I have to say is WOW if the 7800 could have made more quality games like this one with the Pokey sound chip on the cart it might have held up for a while and the music on the 7800 Commando is pretty amazing.  I had a 7800 as a kid but the NES made sure I never got past any of the run of the mill atari titles.

    Anyway enjoy!

  • I like the art on that Donkey Kong box. I find it interesting that Nintendo had already released it on their own console at the time (Famicom in 1983) but it still made its way to the 7800.
  • This was acctually made in 83/84 and released after, so maybe this was before Nintendo locked down their own IP's and allowed atari to release it anyway since the NES verson was a step up and the 7800 was doomed already.

The 7800 was a good port but the sound/music was pretty poor.
  • Nicely done! Loving your older finds as well. How did no one comment about that Aero Fighters? How much did you snag it for??

No idea about the comments, but I got it for the cost of a steak dinner at the outback.

I bought a massive sega genesis lot for dirt cheap at a yard sale and I used them to get this from a local store.

I think I paid around 20-30 for the sega lot at the time. And that is with me keeping, Contra Hard Corps, Castlevania Bloodlines, Battletoads, Earthworm Jim, and quite a few other fun games!  All CIB and hardcases.

  • Oh, I thought you literally took someone out to eat in exchange for the game. >.<

Haha naw, BUT in the past I did something simular quite a number of years ago I made a friend dinner for exchange for some Intellivsion stuff that I no longer have.
  • I found a Coleco Gemini with 2 controllers and all original hook ups for 20.00.

  • Holiday hunting!  Going back for more tomrrow! I was digging though hundreds of Atari/INTV carts, Still have several hundereds of SNES, NES and N64 as well as other systems!

    NES boxed, all CIB

    Space Megaforce is box only

    Guardian Case,manual only

    INTV games

    5200 games

2600 games  (damaged lable cart stacked up is Stunman)

    Coleco games

  • Awesome haul, looks like you found the retro glory hole, keep digging!
  • Nice FFF AW manual!
  • Thanks! Still have tons to dig through hoping to find a box!
  • Thanks! Still have tons to dig through hoping to find a box!
  • Found a nice little lot on the List today, An Atari 2600 heavy Sixer (games with manuals ect) Atari 400 Computer with the 410 Tape Drive (system manuals, games and manuals) for a very nice price.

All the atari stuff is in excellent shape!

Oh and a Zombie Nation Cart I aquired a few days back.
  • Did a local trade with a friend of mine and got some nice N64 boxes, some have manuals, loads of black box NES game manuals, Die Hard and Maxi 15 manual and a Turbo Express.

  • So a long story short, I meet up with an old retired game collector who was selling off some Atari 8bit for those local to me know that I been scouping up Atari 8bit stuff like a mad man. I bought his 800xl and 1050 floppy drive. As we were parting ways he asked me if I collect for home console stuff and I said sure watcha got.

He goes into some NES, N64 and possible SNES stuff and said that he has a pretty large TG-16 lot with a couple of systems and a load of games (and some manuals).  So I asked him what he was wanting for it and he told me he would go home, take a few photos and send them to me and I make him an offer.

Fastfoward, He was telling me that he used to have a rather large PS2 collection and that his kids took it and traded it off and talked about how he would like to get another so I said I had a very nice phat PS2 with 2 controllers, all the hook ups, network adaptor and HD (I used it for the HD loader disk no longer had) and he said well how about my TG-16 lot for your PS2 system.  Of course I had to say yes!

Here are some photos, I also got some manuals for a few of the games and one manual for Order of the Griffin that I do not have a Hu-Card for.

Nice guy for sure, he said that I will be the first to be contacted as he has a load of other retro stuff to move so made a nice contact too in the process.

    2 systems

1 Booster + (still saves games no problem)

    1 Controller

loads of fun games!  I am going through Neutopia right now, what a great little adventure game, I had 2 away from a full CIB set back in the late 90's with TZD was going strong, Love this system but wow has the prices jumped on it!

    Enjoy!

  • SICK! Funny that you mention Order of the Griffin as I just stumbled on a near mint CIB of it for a really nice price. You got some sick games in that lot. Love me some Air Zonk and Neutopia.
  • Quite a few hard to find titles in one shot
  • Very very nice.

Eventually i'd like to get all 94(?) games, but in the short term i definately wanna get ahold of Neutopia, Blazing Lasers and a booster plus.

This is cool, thanks for posting it.
  • ^

You bet, This lot is just the tip of the ice burg of what I have found over the last few months I tend to forget to post things up anymore
  • Very nice. Don't suppose you'd be looking to trade off that extra TG-16? That and a Sega CD are the only 2 systems I don't have at the moment that I actually have a desire to play and collect for.
  • Unfortunately the second TG-16 has an issue with the controller port, the system works and plays games but the second I plug in a controller it instant pauses the game or makes it freak out. I know its not the controller because it work just fine on the other system as I have been playing Neutopia with it.

So I don't want to sell anything yet until I can figure out if it is fixable.

  • All work and no play makes jack a dull boy, I been on the hunt for 32x games, over the last week this is what I managed to scrounge up local!

11 away from a complete cart only set, not in photo is After Burner and WWF Raw.
