GBA Classic Metroid vs. Metroid Zero Mission''s port

I've got Metroid Zero Mission, which has a port of the NES original. If I remember correctly, it's chopped a bit to fit vertically, but is otherwise a pure port. Is the GBA Classic the same, or how is it different?

  • Mission Zero:
As a remake of Metroid, Metroid: Zero Mission's layout bears a resemblance to the original's. However, new items, areas, and mini-bosses have been added, as well as a minimap[2] and an area near the end of the game called Chozodia.[1]

Metroid "Classic NES series" is the port.

He's referring to the unlockable original on Zero Mission.

After you beat the game, you can play the original NES game on the same cartridge.

  • As far as I was told some years ago if I remember right was that it's the same as the Classic NES GBA cart. That 'chopped' look the full cart Classic NES GBA does too and it's squished, not chopped. The NES vertical resolution doesn't fit to the more compressed GBA screen so it gets squeezed down a bit.
