Wireless SNES Controllers

Such a thing exist fairly cheaply? I was considering the retron 3, but after seeing a review where the buttons don't match up on the wireless controllers, it seems pointless. Or is there a 15 foot extension? I have a large living room and my TV is far away from my couch image Looking for any kind of solution image

Thanks!

  • Acclaim made a Dual Turbo Wireless controller for the SNES. It works really well in my opinion however, i don't really know the value of them
  • I have a boxed pair of wireless Acclaim SNES controllers. I am looking to get $40 + Shipping for mine.

    I live in CT also.

If a clone system with wireless controllers is a route you are willing to take, the FC 16 Go portable SNES clone is a good one. The wireless pads use better tech than the Retron 3 and work flawlessly. And of course, asides from taking the system on the go, you can hook it up to your television too.

I might have to look into that, but I really think it'd be over kill with my lineup of 3 SNES's and a RetroDuo. The only reason why I was considering the Retron 3 is because it's 3 consoles in 1 with wireless controllers, but from the reviews I've read, and the videos on youtube I watched, it doesn't seem like a good solution for me.

Yeah, I've read that the Retron wireless controllers are garbage. You have to point them directly at the system, the signal is sometimes unresponsive and possibly prone to delay. I think they use an infrared signal? It's kind of a shame for such a cool device.

  • Wireless works fine, it's IR, but so isn't the Wii. Not too concerned about that.
  • didn't messiah make some wireless snes controllers ? I've seen something of the sort ... their wireless NES controllers are a little touchy
  • Messiah went bellyup..I don't know about the Wireless Controller

I've got a set of these.  Great for RPG's - terrible for games that need reflex movements (shmups, fighters, sports).  The D-pad is brutal and the controller only works if your sensor is pointed directly at the receiver.  However, they are wireless, so that's a plus.
