The worst of the worst

So, what's the worst video game you have ever played? Action 52, Cheetahman II, and E.T. don't count!

Mine would have to be Disney's Dinosaur:

Urgh... I got this when I was (I think) 4 or 5. Worst. buy. ever. I still have it in my Game Boy Color today. And it's in mint condition. The video to get to the menu takes FOREVER (although it looks pretty nice for a GBC game) even when you are trying to skip it. In the game the graphics are actually very nice. But the gameplay is mindless, boring, and confusing. I'm pretty positive they have *cough*a*cough*copy*cough*of*cough*the*cough*ROM*cough*at*cough*ROMNation*cough* Ahem excuse me, I have a cold. Anyway, just play it. I hate it.

Post the worst game you've ever played below!

  • *Waits for a bunch of people to talk about AVGN games they haven't even tried themselves*

Personally I'm not very critical of games. I guess I am entertained easily.
  • E.T. and Pac-Man for the 2600.

I am old enough to remember both of them (I was born in 76).
  • Baseball Simulator 1000.
  • Godzilla Unleashed (PS2). It wants to be a game.
  • Its hard to pick one when there is so many crap games for the DS but I'm going with Rock Revolution

    VIP for the playstation

the game is plagued with horrible graphics non responsive controls

    and a barely coherent story.
  • Probably that big rigs game for the pc, Superman 64 is pretty terrible as well(although i never had the patience to make it to the later stages).
  • The worst game I play was Sword Of Sodan (Genesis) and X-Bladez: Inline Skater (PS1).
  • super godzilla snes ultraman snes and fusion frenzy 2
  • Superman 64. I beat it actually, just to prove to myself I could. It's not only extremely glitchy and controls horribly, but it's just plain BORING.
You play about 15 minutes of flying through rings and killing enemies among skyscrapers, and if you fail you start over (sometimes from the mission BEFORE the one you're on). Here and there are indoor stages that are extremely confusing and glitchy, many times necessary-to-kill enemies will clip through a wall and make the level impossible to beat.

Here's some examples of it's terribleness (me playing, self-discovered tricks):

Honorable mention is any WWF/ECW (wrestling basically) game I've ever played.

On a side note... Dinosaurs for GBC was one of the first GBC games I got... I remember getting really stuck on the volcanic level and I couldn't figure out what to do next and gave up.
  • The worst game I ever put any real time and effort into was Orb 3D, only because it was given to me for a Christmas gift one year when I was a kid. I'm sure I've played worse since, but that one is burned into my memory.
  • I'm more of a new school gamer, so that being said, I would nominate from the PSP... WTF (Work Time Fun). This game is brutal. There's no point to the games, they make no sense... i could go on, but it's been a while since I've played it.

It's still in my library, thankfully I bought it for $3.00

So what you're saying is that it was true to the show?

  • Xenophobe for the NES is one of the worst games I've ever played.
  • I pretty much like every game, but Call of Duty: MW2 and Mass Effect Suck. From retro, Alien 3 on gameboy (to hell with this crap! Someone have holy water?
  • I probably haven't played as many different games as most of you guys, so my experience is somewhat limited. But "The Adventures of Bayou Billy" on the NES makes me want to slowly pull out my eyelids one at a time.

I would disagree there... When I am sick (which I have a disease so I am often sick) the game's are so short that if something comes up I can just toss the game down and go take care of it... and it's so mindless it gives me something to do without thinking about it. I kinda like it in that sorta way. But other than that... yeah it's a bad game.
  • Lagoon on SNES
  • Atari 2600 Pacman, by far the worst game ever made. Barbie NES is another brutal POS.
  • I have certain games that some people defend but I absolutely despise on the NES (Hydlide, X-Men, Snake's Revenge, etc.), but I believe the worst "game" for me would have to be Color A Dinosaur. I cannot conceive of that cartridge ever being enjoyable, offering any sort of replay value, or even being considered a "game." What a travesty. You should know your video game is bad when it is inferior to a set of crayons and paper.

  • In Soviet Russia, Barbie on NES beats YOU!
  • Spiderman/X-men: Arcades Revenge for the Sega Genesis is the absolute worst game I have EVER played.
  • Hydlide. No amount of typing can convey my utter disdain for this game.

    Shit Sandwich.

lol mark that games so fucking hard
  • Captain Planet on Genesis,Carmageddon on PS1,N64 and GBC,Games Galaxy 2,Retro and countless other "classic compilations" for the PS2, Where´s Waldo,Super Pitfall,Jack Nicklaus Golf,Back To The Future 2&3 and Bill & Ted for nes and the list goes on. Buying random games from flea markets and bargain bins just ends up filling my collection with crap.
  • Forgot to mention Secret Saturdays for DS, i played it for 15 minutes and had already randomly fell through the floor numerous times.
