  • Finally got a decent one
  • List updated. Nice find JxMx!
  • hey nothingface ya missed a pic i got one for the life force on the previous page
  • Got the Life Force pic up.

Also, this might be good for a chuckle. I had a dream last night that I went game hunting and found a 4-screw TMNT Tournament Fighters. You know, the plastic hinge by one side of the top label and smooth top on the other. What are the chances of finding that? lol

Does that mean I'm into this a bit too much?
  • Just as an FYI, I sold off my TMNT and TMNT 5-screw mislabels. Wanted to make sure the record was straight.

    Thanks!
  • You can put me down as CIB for my 3-screw DK no hang tab box and cart only DK jr. 3-screw.
  • I picked this up today at a local shop for a couple of dollars, label appears to be authentic, has anyone ever seen this before?

    That is weird.

  • Thread updated. Hamster, I can update the list accordingly once I know to whom you sold your TMNT's.

Anyone else find any cool variants lately?
  • Awesome EDF I like looking at upside down labels i wonder how they get past QA
  • I am the former owner of the Jackal shown a page or two back. That Jackal actually came from a much maligned game store near Logan Airport (I don't want to mention the name since I know the owner googles it and I don't want to educate him, his prices are high enough already). It had apparently been sitting there for months, since I saw it and thought it was a fake. I went back months later and it was still there, I looked closer at it and saw that it was obviously real. I have decided to sell my 5 screw Kings of the Beach, it is on ebay now if you feel like searching for it item number 311185957585
  • As an addendum, I don't think the Kings of the Beach I have has been listed here, unless the other guy who had one sold it to an overpriced game store in Eastern MA and probably got pocket change for it since it was in the store's common bin.

Cool, but not really all that rare.

Ahh, ok. probably why no one was talking about it. Thx

  • 5-screw Jaws! The label's in bad shape but I'll take it!

  • Nice find, Aaron! The list has been updated.

I still have an extra 5-screw Gotcha - if anyone is interested in it, PM me.
  • Got this one a while back ... pretty cool.
  • I ended up with a Super Mario World a while back that the only difference is the Nintendo seal of quality has the wording backwards on it. It is hard to tell in the picture but I thought it interesting.
***sorry, trying to add a picture from the phone didn't work as well as I would have thought.
  • This may be a really stupid question. I know nothing about variants and differences between Canadian and US releases, but since some games like Gyromite or Soccer are normally 3 screw in Canada but not in the US. What would stop someone from taking a Canadian 3 screw version of these games and pairing it with a 3 screw cart back of a random game with a US back label? Hopefully this doesn't give anyone any bad ideas but surely it has been thought of before. I suppose there would be much if any money to be made off this as the games are common and the market for people obsessed with variants would be rather limited.

The fact that the front label says CAN on it.

Nah, I just don't have much tact at 3AM, haha!

I made the mistake of overpaying for a CAN copy of Gyro back in the day. It was my placeholder for some time.

  • Yes, Hybrid! That is what I am talking about!
