Some Great Gifts from Some Great Guys -- THANK YOU

I thought I'd share a few of the items some of the members here have been so kind in sending me over the last few weeks, all of which were complete surprises -- I'm truly grateful to have such great friends. Thanks, guys.

In the following photo is me wearing the NA shirt that Matthew (xtremegamer) sent a few weeks ago as a test shirt before going to print. Alongside is my daughter, Jarah, wearing the NA onesie that Jason (NDG) sent us. For someone who doesn't want kids, he sure did a hell of great job thinking of the perfect gift image He also sent a Princess Peach and Mario onesie as well (not pictured).

At the bottom of the pic, Jarah is wrapped in the Princess Peach blanket that Brian (bunnyboy) and his mother made for Jarah. He embroidered it himself! We absolutely LOVE this blanket -- it truly is our favorite.

What a pair, eh? Future NA generation at work? image

If my x-mas hadn't already been wonderful enough up to this point, two days ago, I was talking to Jason on the phone and he mentioned that Dan (dangevin) sent him a very cool present (see J's thread). I sort of knew something was up because Dan had asked me for Jason's address, but I wasn't really sure exactly what. What I didn't know was that "sneaky" Dan had also sent me a little something as well.... one of the last 3 vs 5 screw variations I needed: the elusive 3-screw Donkey Kong! (oh, and a super cool Nintendo pen!) A few months ago I'd wanted to trade him for that Donkey Kong, but it simply slipped my mind and I hadn't thought about it since. Now I know why -- he held onto it to send me as a gift! I was in complete shock.

I just want to say again to Jason, Matthew, Brian and Dan -- thanks again guys, I really appreciate your friendship.

  • haha Good stuff image Jarah looks very excited about it all too image hehe Glad you guys enjoyed the stuff. Unlike bunnyboy I wasn't gay enough to embroider the onesies myself image hahaha (very cool blanket though)

  • Yah I thought about it for a short bit but I stayed away from sending baby stuff, I'm no good with that...and figured it's better if I stick to what I know lol. Killer ideas all though. Glad we could make it merry for the guy whose place we "virtually" hang out in all day everyday image
  • That blanket is AWESOME. She's beautiful, Dain.
  • VERY nice! Almost makes me want to have a kid. Now if I could just find a woman who would let me.
  • I've been on a bunch of boards for all kinds of collections over the years and I must say there are truly some great people on this board.

Kevin: You can go down to Brownsville and pick up one of those women. HA
  • Just for the record I did the embroidery in a manly way, with an expensive machine! image The embroidery machine hooks up to the computer thro USB and that controls all movement. I can take any pixel image and put it on cloth pretty easy without knowing anything about sewing. All the edging was done by my wifes mom. Might make some cool NES system dust covers once I have more time....

I don't think you can do embroidery any manlier, congrats.
  • Cute kid Dain. How can something so beautiful come from the seed of one as ugly as yourself? image
  • Dain, what did you ever buy that kid with the baby pool money? It better not have been games for you!
  • We purchased a breast pump! Hey, the kid's got to eat, right?!? image

Wiz: dude, I ask myself that everyday -- you should see when she smiles... I wonder, "how in the world did such a cute kid come from me?!" He he, good stuff image
  • Awww...now I want a kid...but I'm afraid to see the beast that would want to bear my child...
  • Your daughter is beautiful, congrats!
  • No thank you was needed, but it is appreciated.  I am just glad to a part of this community and will try to help out in any way possible.  Great picture btw.  Also, shirts should be going into printing soon!  Happy Holidays to all!
