Finally something in the wild!

Nothing too amazing, but I have gone a long time without finding something I still need in the wild, and if I do find something, it's usually only one game. I stopped by a chain (Play 'n Trade) today, as my friend and I were trying to find Rock Band for the PS2. This place sells some NES games, so I took a look through their stuff and the first three games I looked at I actually needed.

Toxic Crusaders $2

Muppet Adventure $2

Sesame Street ABC/123 $1

Made me a happy Kevin.

Yeah, I paid double that for mine at the flea market once. Decent prices overall, yes. Toxic Crusaders seems to be one that doesn't pop up around here in the wild...
  • finding something in the wild is always good
  • This is a wee bit off topic, but i was watching a movie with my brother the other day about a janitor who turns radoactive and starts defending the town from crime and what not, and used his mop as a weapon. I realized that I recognized that guy from a nes game, and sure enough, the game toxic crusaders has the same guy on the cover, but the games story is nothing like the movie, and the movie is called Toxic Avenger. Pretty weird, couldve been a mistranslation or something when the game was made.
  • Wikipedia to the rescue! Apparently the Toxic Crusaders cartoon was based on the Toxic Avenger Movie (I remember watching the cartoon as kid, and the movie many years later as a drunk adult...pretty funny!). The game was then obviously based on the cartoon.

  • Troma films are amazing...
  • Years ago, when I was a young teenager, USA's Up All Night used to play the Toxic Avenger at least once a month..

    Anyone else remember that?
  • I just remember watching USA's Up All Night to see the hot girls in the studio talking about the movie.
  • nice find!
