Which 3DS game do you like the best?

Played 3 of the 3DS games so far (Steel Divers, Pilotwings, and SF4:3D).  Of them I think I like the Street Fighter game the best, especially the new control system (no more trying to wrench my thumb to get that double fireball =) ). Which game do you like and which ones would you say no to?

I picked up Pilotwings, Monkey Ball, SF 4 and Ridge Racer. I've played Ridge Racer most.

  • I have Super Monkey Ball and Pilotwings... thinking about maybe getting Steel Diver. SF4 looks very well done, but I'm not into fighters. Only really spent time on Pilotwings, its alot of fun though so far. The built in software is pretty cool too... faceraiders and the AR games. Also if you load up your mp3s on the SD card you can listen to them with excitebike playing in the background, for some reason I thought that was very neat.
  • I have Pilotwings, Steel Diver, Ridge Racer, and Super SF4. As of now I'm not sure but Pilotwings or Steel Diver is my favorite, need more time to be sure. Pilotwings I love the free flight mode, and then it does have all those up to 3 star challenges with the three vehicles. The game uses very smart depth in the 3D that really does help zero in better on targets, especially tighter areas like the volcano. Steel Diver is fun, a little tricky more due to touch control only on the platform style levels and the 3D does nothing there. In the torpedo alley mode with the ships though the 3D is crazy good, gives a good sense of depth, and it's just fun blowing junk up.
  • I have Pilot Wings and Steel Diver so far. I have really been enjoying both, but I'm getting more time out of Pilotwings so far. Just got some bday cashola so I think I'll be heading out to pick up Ridge Racer and maybe Bust a Move.
  • I've only played Pilot Wings and then the little miney AR games. The 3d kinda hurts my eyes after about 30 mins.

  • None of the 3DS launch titles really excited me, but I did end up getting Pilot Wings. I got a bad headache after like 15 mins so I had to stop. The effect is wicked but I was never good with this kinda thing (3D). I wont be playing it much until the bigger titles come out. Sweet system though
  • Super Monkey Ball is by far the best IMO. Pilot Wings feels kind of like a pack in Nintendo title. Nothing else really stands out to me.
  • Well the four I got I think are pretty stand out in some way or another. Also going up on the system in May I think is when it really will start its stride. We got the internet, vc, 3dsware, and also 3d movies over netflix streaming. All that should add up to something big, and who knows but they should be issuing more AR cards in time along with the firmware updates.
  • I kinda agree with Dain's sig. I'll wait it out til they redesign it the first couple of times. I am kinda curious as to what the whole 3D thing looks like though. hmmm.
  • I only have Pilotwings and SSFIV so far, and I've been playing almost all Pilotwings. It's just a fun game to play - sometimes I enjoy a relaxing game like that. I don't have much left to do in it, though, so I'm busting out the Street Fighter this weekend.
  • So far none of them impress me much. Yes, it's nice to have a portable Street Fighter that manages to look the part but Street Fighter is a head-to-head game. I strongly dislike having to depend upon a stable connection to another 3DS unit or an online connection. Also, the DS controls just aren't conducive to a game like Street Fighter. For lack of reliable intricacy, most players will resort to using Ryu and Chun-Li since their moves can be pulled off with little trouble. I can't see people even attempting Zangief with the horrible circular pad.

Pilotwings seems okay but it also comes off as not so much a game but more of an extended demo of what the 3DS can do.

Ridge Racer is an experience that I definitely want on a larger screen with tighter controls. I also think 3D effects may actually be distracting to some gamers in that particular genre. If Nintendo wants a 3D racer, they should focus upon a new Mario Kart.

Nintendo should capitalize on the 3D effects by designing some kind of zombie/space shooter on rails. I think that'd take advantage of the capabilities without being an exercise in merely showing off.
  • Guys, you should really check out Ghost Recon Shadow Wars.. it's a lot of fun. Also have SF4 and Pro Evo Soccer, both very cool. I don't think this launch lineup is nearly as ad as people are making it seem.
  • I like the music in pilotwings. There are a few themes that are really good.

Street fighter is cool. Although the combo buttons at the bottom almost make it too easy. I don't know. I think it'd be fun to play a 3d mario or donkey kong game.

I was playing F zero on the wii the other night (still a challenging game), it'd be interesting if that came out on 3ds. It'd be interesting if they had some of the classics...ghouls and ghosts, kung fu, on 3DS. Excitebike??
  • I'm actually waiting for Blazblue:  Continuum Shift II and Tales of the Abyss to be released.  I've looked at game play footage from the titles and I was thinking that they were rather...meh.  They're not bad, but they're not something I'd play personally.  Super Street Fighter IV does look rather interesting, so I might pick up that one too.
