Wow I thought this was going to be a serious poll.
It's not worth $250 to me, and it's not worth $200 to me. And it would take a very impressive Mario or Zelda to make me consider pulling the trigger at $150. My DS Lite takes care of what little portable gaming I do, and I don't want another one right now.
I still haven't even bought a PS3 because I'm waiting for $200 on that one. Takes a stellar launch lineup to make me pull the trigger early.
I broke down and got one, but I will say this... I never originally bought a DS. I had a DS phat that my wife's sister gave to me. When I received it, it had broken hinges, and a broken case, as well as the screen being extremely scratched. I bought a new set of hinges, and a new case and fixed it up as good as I could. I never really bought any games, just a flash cart. Now that DS barely holds a charge. I figured with all the money I saved from not buying games, or a system, I might as well upgrade. I also figured that since they released the 3DS, soon regular DS carts might come to an end (I'm just assuming, no need to flame me for thinking this), so I thought I might as well upgrade to the latest and 'greatest' rather than an DSI or DSI XL and not be able to play any new games.

Completely agree. I honestly, though, cant see myself buying the 3DS even if it dropped under 100. Like you said any portable gaming I do is on the DS lite or PSP, even though I rarely play games on the go.
I preordered it forever ago hoping it would sell out in the first 48 and I could bank off of it. I brought it home sunday, left it alone for like 2 minutes and came out to my girlfriend holding it lol. She opened it up so I figured the damage is done, might as well play it. Its pretty cool, but not $250 cool. I really hope they come out with some good games quick so I feel I got my money worth.
Where's the option for, "I just don't see what's so 3D about this thing?"
Really?... I'm assuming you've tried one? Do you have any problems with your eyes?
Everybody who has checked mine out so far has been impressed and had no problems viewing the 3D. I mean, everybody has their own opinion of the value of the item compared to its cost, but to say there is no 3D at all...

My bad for the missing r vector! Jonzie! Its a family affair here! There are enough serious polls all over the net. I do have serious answers for those agers who throw their pinkies in the air and sip a spot of tea like they just don't care! However, there are allot of zany agers like myself that will swerve off into this poll drunk and looking for poll answers that are not so stuffy and boring (serious and fun can coexist)! Moreover your post answer is two fold...
1. too expensive
2. no metroid, no mario, no (all new) zelda you no buy!
To be honest, the four-hour battery life for an effect that's been said to cause eye strain, headaches and possibly permanent damage, is a bit of a deterrent. The library isn't close to being strong enough. It's kind of big still, clunky like the original DS. I can play Pokemon Black on a DSi and it has better resolution without the mostly-pointless 3-D effects. I cannot justify paying that much when the same amount will get me 6-8 good used games for the 360. The Wii can download games too and those can be played in HD on a much larger screen in my living room. I have portable games on my phone already, so carrying the 3DS everywhere is a bit redundant. It doesn't come in yellow or lime green, and this upsets me.
Nothing is official from any source but there have been some understandable concerns. It's too soon into the system's cycle to truly know if there's a relevant risk but as someone who is already very nearsighted, I'm not sure I want to inadvertantly worsen my vision through repeated eye strain.
yeah my bad for not including the "possibly". I've been holding out but, as someone with a history of eye problems, It would not hurt me one bit to know whats going on with that. I'd assume that Nintendo would be more careful though. They'd be sued into oblivion if one of their devices caused permanent bodily damage through normal use.

Any others reasons necessary?
permanent eye damage,
Do you have a source on that?
