Which game(s) do you have the most fond memories over?
Not necessarily nostalgia, per se (though that certainly holds merit, if
you wish). Which games do you have the most fond memories of?
For me, I'd say Final Fantasy VI, and probably Super Mario 64.

Glover, too. I remember jumping up and down when I got it for Christmas and it was hooked up, freaking out to play it. I was still quite young. The time from my NES->N64 wasn't that long, maybe a year.
Also, some of DK64 memories. I remember borrowing it and going through a debacle of not having the Memory Expansion, haha. But we bought it shortly after.
Lastly is Castlevania 64. Since I was too scared to play it (and still am, truthfully) I would watch my sister play it. I was scared at first because of the part where you get into the small room with the coffins you break and get items, you can hear the skeletons coming out of the ground, but the camera gets so close, you can't see anything. Then BAM! A skeleton appears out of nowhere. It's not much, but when I was like 7, that shit was scary and caused me to be afraid to play it. Won't play it even today.
I'm only 17 and I feel so old.
SMB1, DH, HA, and Gyromite I got the 1985 launch unit and I played the hell out of those for a good long while before I could get more stuff in 1986 like Kung Fu and Balloon Fight. Hours well probably weeks of hours went into them every day around life getting good and learning every bit of them. SMB3 just because it was THE game of the series, the lame movie, and just all the stuff around it has a ton of memories. Super Mario World I played 2 weeks straight to perfection as I blew every penny I had to get the SNES day 1. Mom got it for me for Christmas, I couldn't wait and learned I just had enough in my safe so I busted it open, threw the cash at her when she got home, and I got lost.
Final Fantasy 2 I list because it was the RPG to truly draw me into the field, and I played it out damn near a dozen times to completion over the years and I still think it has the most moving and engaging story in the series.
Street Fighter 2 introduced me to fighting games, but also I got it as a trainer for the arcade as I was gaming during afternoons at summer camp. I got to where I could school anyone there and whip it on a quarter with whoever on the roster.
I probably should honorably mention Super Mario 64 for the ground it broke for all of us and me, and how it showed a 3D world game can work and not suck being a fight with bad angles and worse cameras.
I was on a road trip many years ago, before the GBA SP came out. All I had was a regular old white GBA, no backlight. Like any other castlevania this one was dark (as in hard to see). I loved it but had a hard time playing it. I remember being on a road trip and setting up camp just outside of lethbridge. Morning rolled around and I was up just before sunrise, so I took the opportunity to turn my chair so my back was facing the sunrise and just as the sun started coming up it was perfect. I could see everything in the game, the birds were singing and all I remember is kicking up my feet and playing until the rest of the family got up.
It was just so relaxing, I don't know why. Kinda lame eh?
Coincidentally I am actually playing it right now too! Never did beat it.
All games that I remember putting in countless hours as a kid and never beating them.
Final Fantasy (NES) - I remember using a guide and playing along side my dad through some of the dungeons. And that damn Temple of Fiends Revisited is a huge pain if you aren't leveled high enough.
Goldeneye / Mario Kart 64 - God knows how many hours spent in multiplayer, or even throughly beating the single player. Amazing games.
Super Mario 64 - Got it for Christmas with the N64 launch and man what a great experience that was.
Halo 2 - The go-to game that we played during our college days. We had system link battles (4 vs. 4), internet play, or even classic "loser passes off the controller" games.
Basically the four Naughty Dog games stand alone in my mind.
Some of the best memories of my life were made while playing Nintendo, and that's one of the main reasons I've remained loyal to them all these years.
TM2 was the main reason I bought a pS1 in the first place and Legend of Dragoon was my first RPG I ever played and love every minute of the game.
World Class Meet was only time I got my mom to play games with me.
Mortal Kombat is my favorite game growing up.
1) My first three games were SM/DH combo, RC Pro-AM and Top Gun
2) Trying to land that friggin plane on Top Gun
3) Opening Dragon Warrior (pure epic), I still have my "quick card" around here with the spells and levels on it.
4) I still don't know what the R power-up does in Contra.
5) Using the Game Genie because its the only way half my games would work (you guys know what I'm talking about).
1)The early games in the King's Quest, Space Quest and Police Quest series. I remember trying to figure these games out with my father. However we always had to revert to the strategy guide to get us through the games.
2) My Brother and I got 4 games for Christmas one year. Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Megaman 2, and Faxanadu. The many hours, weeks and months we played these.
3) Final Fantasy VI, my favorite game of all time. I rented this one day and played it about 8 hours straight. Right to the part where you defeat Ultros on the Lete River. Then you party splits off into different scenarios. I stopped playing right there because I knew I was going to buy this game, I thought playing any further would ruin the experince for when I owned it. I purchased it a few days later. I even faked being sick, so I could stay home from school to play.
Atari 2600. Playing Circus Atari with my mom. We always loved the way the peoples legs went in the air when they didn't hit the pad.
Arcade. Pole position. Watching my dad in a seated cab version always get one of the top scores to the other kids amazement.
vs baseball. playing with my dad on endless occasions. the only game I can think of where I dont remember who was better. we just had lots of fun.
NES MTPO. Beating Iron Mike for the first time after helping my dad mail the Christmas cards for his office. I drank a few beers while doing it and beat Mike the first time as soon as I got home. I guess a bit of alcohol for a 13 year old is not all bad
