Don't know if it's been mentioned before but there is a pretty neat Tetris homebrew, that shows where the block will be dropped, you can get it at nesworld.
Wow sweet saved me a ton of trouble. I wanted to track down a pile of homebrew for NES and forgot he had that. All that's missing, if someone even bothered, would be bootlegs of the stuff that's for sale which I'm sure knowing tard-o rom kiddie mentality are floating somewhere. Impressive that all the legit stuff is there.
Yeah I hate it like crazy and I do have it on my supervision 115-in-1 pirate nes cart (tengen tetris is listed as tetris 2.) I just won't play it as it drives me nuts holding the pad I have for over 20 years and not getting the right movement out of pushing DOWN. Down != Rotate ...ever.

You all should try Tetris on the Famicom. THAT will fuck you up.
In-flight entertainment systems do that, and it's AWFUL.
If I had that version on a Famicom, I would rewire a controller JUST to make that game work correctly.
