Non NES find but Nintendo Related

I walked into a local thrift store... Did my usual routine of looking in the electronics and in the cds (For the off chance of finding a cd based game) and I saw a copy of Wacky Minature Golf for Cd-I complete... I got excited and look around some more and found complete copies of two other sports games and then I found Hotel Mario and Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon both complete... Then I decided to look furiously for a CD-i machine sadly there wasn't one to be found... Still a pretty cool pick up... I bought all the cd-i games because I had never seen any in the wild.. They were a buck a piece... Pretty cool find I'd say...

  • Sounds like a very cool find Sonik image I've heard the Zelda CDi games really suck, but they may at least be worth a laugh.
  • Ha yeah I've seen videos and the cd-i games are definitely a dark day for the series..

Hotel Mario, Link: The Faces of Evil, Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon, and Zelda's Adventure for CD-i are something to be desired, that is for sure.  For $1 a piece though, that is one awesome steal!
  • So I kept checking the thrift store to see if that CD-I system was going to pop up... I gave up hope a couple weeks back... Went in there yesterday and went to the electronics and sure enough there is the CD-I player model 220 staring at me... I picked it up for 15 bucks... So in total 5 cd-i games and a cd-i system for 20 bucks not bad at all...
  • That's cool you went back and found the CD-I system.  Usually at a goodwill here locally, they have all there video games up front in the display cases, but usually when you go to the back you find other stuff that someone seperated from the lot.  Last find was (2) 1st party SNES controllers for a $1 ea. but they system was up front with no controllers for $35?  Left the system, but bought the controllers.
  • Goodwill does some bizarre things with their pricing. Every once in a while I'll hit up the local stores and find things for like a dollar, and then two months later, I'll find the exact same item for $10.
