Faria Map scan

Not sure it's the right area to ask, but I was curious if anyone had ever come across the legitimate map scanned at all or could do it?  It's hard enough to come by, the price on it is a stinking rip, and those gamefaqs knockoffs suck.  I've seen it rarely pop on ebay and once there was almost a usable though small copy but the angle was crap ruining all hope.

Would it be possible to find this or have it done, or would this be a case of uptight collectors thinking it would ruin the value of their map they paid too much for?

  • I can definitely check on that for you.

  • Well it looks like Dain was already working on this 4 years ago, but I don't think they ever made it into the database.

    everyone can use them.

  • Maybe it's just a case of whiny, cheapskates looking for free hand me downs? See what I did there?

In what way is this a helpful comment?
  • It's not, just his usual type post is all. If me not blowing $300 on a color piece of poster paper makes me a cheapskate I'm happy with that. $300 goes a long ways in well, food, mortgage, car bill, etc. Shit that actually does matter.

Thanks for the link, maybe he'll find it yet. The last post in that link said a manual was bought for $10 back then. I saw the one on the site is fairly thrashed with a duct tape binding for it. Maybe an upgrade is in order?

If someone can find the map scanned nicely that would be great and I'll keep hunting.

I am not sure how a scanned game map qualifies as a free hand-me-down. No one was asking for an actual map for free or cheap.

Do you feel the same way about all of the other manuals/boxes that are already scanned into the NA database for all to look at? That was one of the reasons why NA was created......

    Oh wait, you don't

It might make Tanooki think about not being condescending towards people right after asking them to do him a favor.

Turn on your sarcasm detector, I think it's broke.  OSG got my post, apparently you didn't.  I thought the "See what I did there?" was a good clarifier of the sarcasm...

No one is required to scan anything they own, and if they do then kudos to them.  It's one thing to come in here with a "Hey guys, I really would like to beat this game and the map is basically required.  Could someone please help, I'd really appreciate it!"  and it's quite another to come in with a "I can't buy this map because you idiots have driven up the price of the map to levels I can't afford.  Stop being so greedy and put up a free scan of it already."

Not what you say but how you say it.
  • ps vgmaps.com has the entire game mapped out

To anyone less jaded that OSG, the way your post reads, the "see what I did there" just looks like it's rubbing salt in the wound and makes the whole thing come off way nastier than you probably intended.

I really don't like people that post stuff like this.  If all it is is colored paper to you, you have no buisness collecting.

This topic has run it's course and has turned into a bitch fest.

    LOCK.
