I wouldn't say its a no-no at all. By locking the thread and creating another one, you will just be taking up more space on the board.
I would first ask the high bidder if he is okay if you shorten the time, then change it if they approve. Chances are, they will. Post the new end time in the sub title. (You do this by editing the first post). There shouldn't be a problem if you do this, and ebay allows changes as long as they are done with more than a day advance, so Im sure even if the auction still has 2 weeks you will be okay.

I was thinking about the flack the guy selling the sealed Caltron got. Since I'm in the high bidder still, I'm fine with him shortening the time if that's all it takes.
If you want to edit the thread I'd say go ahead - since you request it be a month long I don't think people will take it too bad if you decide you want to run the auction say... 1 week... or something like that. Just PM those who have bid, or not - at this point it is still early in the auctions life so do what you like with ending time.
Alright since a high amount of complaints and low amounts of bids is anyone gonna squack if i just cancle this mess of an auction. im sorry this is my first auction didnt realize people would get sp pissed off at everything. I have seen games on ebay for a month but your right they are not auctions they are for sale. unless the mods or anyone else has a problem with me closing this thread i am going to do so and end the auction. please refer to the for sale section. i think it will b easier if i just sell the game.
