I know that a lot of you are upset over this and there is definetally a lot of confusion on this auction.
I do not think it would be right to refund my money and then relist it for more time since I was already announce the winner and paid. To me that is no different than someone winning an auction and then giving it to someone else for more money. That's not right and that's not fair.
If people can go in after a winner is announced and offer more money, that is not fair to the person who won the auction and even worse to the winner if they already paid.
The other bidders for the auction lost their opportunity to bid or win the auction themselves and that is frustrating but these items will be available again in the future (these aren't the only copies). The train dilemma is not appropriate for this as a comparison as it is not referencing an agreement, merely whether to kill 1 person or 10. That doesn't apply to this.
Since I was announced the winner, and I paid, it is not right to then list the auction longer for more bids and pay my money back simply because they can get more money from another individual. That isn't right.
My recommendation would be to have Nintendo Age adjust the rules for future auctions to try and prevent this situation from occurring again.
I will offer that if the winner of Bamse is in the United States, I would have Hilmarf ship all 3 items to me and I can ship the Bamse to the other winner at a dramatically cheaper rate to save on shipping for the winner if the winner is ok with that.

So why'd you pay then? To me, it looks like you knew he screwed up, so you paid immediately thinking that it would cement your status as the winning bidder.
the auction WASNT over per the auction rules. therefore, ending the auction a day early is NOT what should be done here. if any money was sent, the seller should refund that payment and continue with the auction.

wow, kind of have to agree with seth here. Since it was an error you should accept the refund gwyndion. I'd say since there is some confusion that you SHOULD be understanding and that we as a community should allow this auction to end at its respected time.
