Only one ball? That's not much of a pinball game.
You must not be a pinball wizard
I'll kick things off then, probably my favourite pinball game for NES but I haven't played that much of it except for the 2player mode and because it sometimes glitches up on my PAL TV. Didn't do too bad here though:

If we get the 'shoot again' bonus for clearing the upper part of the pinball machine, can we use it or not.
Giving the 'one ball rule', I guess that we can't, otherwise we would say 'one life rule', right?
I'd like to clarify something about the 'one ball' rule.

The "shoot again" bonus cannot be used. Once you lose your ball, that's it. Basically, it will be just like the Pin Bot contest from last year. No "shoot again" or "extra ball" bonuses were allowed and won't be for this game. It's like the 1 life rule.

I've never been consistent on pinball games, score always varies drastically, sometimes I lose an entire game within mere minutes, other times I can keep a game over for a half hour or longer, its just so random, but still enjoyable regardless. I gave it a few hours play this evening, most of my scores were below a hundred thousand, had a couple in the one hundred thousand range, one in the two hundred thousands, then right after that one, blew them all away with one well over a million before finally losing my first ball. Damn, would've loved to have had this game recorded, pretty awesome play, for me anyway. Wanted to get in something really good since I've rarely been able to play much of anything, want to have something to show for at least.
Score upon losing 1st ball 1,478,720

Heres what I got:

score to come...
Come on, man. The suspense is killing me
I just did this, I played all week long and made my best score on my last game. I almost died on purpose for getting this before the dead line. I tried to profit from the 'collect bonus' letters (HAL) to punch a few more points quickly before the end, finally lost my ball without doing it on purpose, but I was playing on the lower stage by purpose to get killed somewhat.
Intense game!!! I hope my score is the real one...
